Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
/n• Full-time position requiring ASAP start
/n• Provide routine and complex nursing care in intermediate care setting
/n• Practice independently while demonstrating awareness of all clinical situations
/n• Utilize nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
/n• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
/n• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols
/n• Monitor for side-effects and treatment effectiveness
/n• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
/n• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
/n• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers
/n• One year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
/n• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
/n• Required certifications: Current BLS (AHA only) and ACLS (AHA only)
/n• Texas RN license or compact license required
/n• Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days
/n• Complete organizational entry competency validation and specialty-specific competency validation
/n• Participate in precepted on-boarding with designated trained staff member
