  • Provide Hematology/Oncology consults and follow-up care in an outpatient clinic setting
  • Oversee administration of antineoplastic therapies in the clinic/infusion setting
  • Deliver and coordinate services including bone marrow biopsies, iron therapy, IVIG, phlebotomies, and related infusion treatments
  • Collaborate closely with nursing and ancillary teams to ensure efficient, patient-centered care
  • Support hospitalist teams with infrequent inpatient consult questions (primarily by phone)
  • Participate in teaching opportunities as available

Position Purpose: 

Our Surgery department has 12 fast paced rooms at Waterloo Medical Center. Our cases include trauma, orthopedic, podiatry, general surgery, urology, robotics and neurosurgery. RNs scrub, circulate and assist.

What you will Do: 

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care of patients.

Supervises and coordinates care provided by LPNs and PCAs.

Facilitates communication with physicians, families and other team members.

  

Hours/Schedule:  

1.0 FTE

Full Time, day shift, hours depend on cases

evening and weekend call

must be within 30 minutes when on call

Minimum Qualifications:  

Current IA RN license

BSN preferred

No previous experience required
