Have 20+ years of experience in relevant Transportation market sectors with a proven track record in business development and operations.
Educational Background: BS/MS in Engineering.
Professional Registration: Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Planner (AICP) in Pennsylvania (and preferably additional states).
Market Specialization: You'll be a subject matter expert in one or multiple disciplines such as highway design, structural design, hydraulics, construction management, planning or Transit.
Multi-Disciplinary Technical Leadership: You will be a proven leader of multi-disciplinary design, CM or Inspection teams and have delivered a range of projects from concept to close as the Project Manager.

Position Summary: Performs safe, timely and accurate internal transports of patients utilizing a variety of platforms. Assists clinical staff with transferring patients to/from wheelchairs, beds and stretchers as needed to facilitate transportation. Deliver equipment to/from patient care units, clinics and other designated areas as needed.

Essential Functions:
- Transport patients and equipment to/from designated areas of the hospital, ensuring safe movement and positive patient experience.
- Transport patients with without complex needs via wheelchair, bed or stretcher using approved body mechanics and safe patient handling techniques. 3. Assist clinical staff in transferring/transporting patients with high acuity needs.
- Transport clean equipment to/from patient care units, Central Processing, maintenance, storage rooms, BioMed or other departments as necessary.
- Document all stages of transport in EPIC and ensure that accurate information is input into the system.
- Act as a transport dispatcher by operating the vocera and EPIC systems, ensuring the timely and accurate dissemination of information to appropriate stakeholders.
- Disinfect equipment after use and as needed. Demonstrate appropriate oxygen handling and storage. Identifies and reports equipment issues, including malfunction and repairs. Ensures hallways remain clear of equipment and clutter.
- Assists with performance improvement projects and training of new staff members.
- Communicates issues and needs of patients with clinical staff as needed. Provides CPR in emergent situations in the absence of clinical staff. Alerts telecommunications office of emergent situations to include medical and facility alerts.
- Assists with transport of Clinics patients as needed to ensure optimal flow in both the hospital and associated medical office buildings.
Other Duties:
- Ensure that proper lifting techniques are in use and that all policies pertaining to transport are followed.

- Oversee parking and mobility technology platforms and vendor integrations, including parking management systems, enforcement technologies, and customer-facing tools.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement emerging mobility technologies and industry best practices.
Stakeholder Engagement & External Partnerships
- Serve as a senior advisor to university leadership on mobility policy, infrastructure investments, and operational priorities.
- Collaborate closely with Facilities, Campus Planning, Sustainability, Public Safety, Finance, Athletics, Events, Student Affairs, Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), and other campus partners.
- Represent Vanderbilt with local and regional transportation agencies and external stakeholders, including WeGo, NDOT, Metro Nashville, and peer institutions.
- Lead stakeholder engagement, communications, and outreach related to parking and mobility initiatives.

Education & Certifications

Experience & Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive management and senior leadership experience in parking, transportation, or mobility operations, including personnel management.
- Prior experience leading a parking and transportation unit, preferably in a large, complex university environment; candidates with comparable corporate or public-sector transportation leadership experience will also be considered.
- Demonstrated experience managing transit operations, transportation demand management programs, and parking systems.
- Proven ability to lead organizational change and integrate siloed functions across parking, transit, technology, enforcement, and communications.
- Experience managing enterprise-level operations within complex stakeholder environments.

Role purpose
Own end-to-end cold-chain transportation across last-mile, middle-mile, and/or multi-stop distribution: routing + dispatch, fleet & reefer reliability, driver performance, DOT compliance, admin rigor, and customer service outcomes—with a bias toward same-day execution and measurable cost control.
This leader builds the system: standards, training, audits, scorecards, and accountability that keep vehicles moving, product safe, and service consistent.
Job Responsibilities:
1) Routing, dispatch, and daily execution
- Build and run daily/weekly route plans, balancing service windows, capacity, staffing, and cold-chain constraints.
- Lead dispatch cadence: cutoffs, staging, loadout sequencing, departure discipline, and exception handling.
- Implement route optimization and performance management using data (late drivers, route drift, missed scans, failed temps).
2) Fleet ownership (refrigerated vehicles + material handling assets)
- Own fleet readiness: AM schedules, inspections, vendor coordination, tire/brake programs, reefer maintenance, and breakdown response.
- Set standards for vehicle cleanliness, sanitation, and temperature performance; enforce pre-trip/post-trip routines.

6) Admin Rigor

7) Cost, KPI, and continuous improvement

Job Requirements:
