Along with psychiatrists, nurses, recreational and expressive therapists and discharge planners , help to develop treatment goals for the hospital stay and beyond.
Work to enhance patient and family communications with the treatment team members to enable patients to be active partners in their own care.

Summary:
Westchester Medical Center, a member of the WMCHealth Network is currently seeking a Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant who will work directly with the Cardiothoracic Surgeons.The PA will be expected to perform comprehensive clinical coordination of direct patient care for the CT surgery population and maintain full responsibility for all patients including patients including the OR and ICU. On call and weekends required.
Education:
Graduation from an accredited PA School. Licenses/Certification: License and current registration issued by the New York State Education Department as a Physician Assistant or eligibility to obtain license.

The Educator (RN) is responsible for the professional growth of learners in a variety of clinical settings in acute care facilities. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Three to five years relevant experience in clinical setting with teaching experience. Current New York State RN licensure required and ACLS/BLS certifications. Certification in Nursing Professional Development through American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained within 3 years of experience.
EDUCATION:
BSN required; MSN, MBA, or MA in Nursing Education or enrolled in a Master in Nursing, business or health related field program to be completed within 5 years.
