EDUCATION
BSN is required. Recent patient care experience in transplant or at least one year of experience as a registered nurse is required. National certification in transplant is preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas. Must maintain current AHA BLS or higher. ACLS preferred.
Provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients in the Ambulatory setting in accordance with University Health policies and standards. Supports and promotes University Health values to ensure patient/guest relations. Performs the nursing process in a safe therapeutic manner in a designated clinic setting. Maintains, facilitates and promotes department policies and standards.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited school of vocational nursing is required. Four years or more experience in health care delivery as an LVN is required ACLS certification may be required based on site location.
LICENSURE
Must possess a current license to practice Vocational Nursing in the State of Texas. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.
Provides skilled direct patient care (dialysis) and monitoring of renal dialysis patients. Operates all renal dialysis equipment and recognizes changes in the renal patient’s condition while on dialysis. Administers medications and accesses hemodialysis catheters for the patient care techs as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited school of vocational nursing is required. Two years’ experience in health care delivery as an LVN is required. Two years’ recent experience of dialysis is preferred.
LICENSURE
Current LVN licensure in the State of Texas is required. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card. Must maintain current CPR certification.
On-Call: Not Required
Incentives: $10,000 Sign on bonus. Candidates must have at least 1 year of Dialysis RN experience to qualify for the bonus. Subject to tax withholdings and also prorated for any part time positions (additional terms and conditions apply).
