Job Description
An international automotive parts manufacturing company is currently seeking an experienced
Production Manager Control Manager to join their facility to the Delaware, Ohio area. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ finance and leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. This is a full-time and direct hire position.
Production Manager Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and manage master production schedules based on customer request.
- Monitor daily production progress and adjust plans to meet deliveries.
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Supply Chain to ensure timely material procurement.
- Analyze production data and KPIs to improve efficiency, lead time, and cost.
- Lead and train production control staff; establish standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality to support new product launches and change management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, 5S, etc.).
- Prepare management reports and forecasts.
Production Manager Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in production planning / production control in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of MRP / ERP systems and Excel.
- Experience managing inventory, forecasting, and scheduling.
- Leadership experience managing or mentoring team members.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and leadership ability in a multicultural environment
- While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
