PRIMARY PURPOSE
CNA is hiring for multiple Security Guards (full time), and for different shifts. The Security Guard is part of the Chief Security Office (CSO) and ensures compliance with established security policies, site-specific performance and procedures, and adhere to post orders. The three shifts CNA is hiring for is 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM, 2:00 - 10:00 PM, and 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM Eastern Time.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND / OR DUTIES
- Ensure compliance with established security policies, site-specific performance and procedures, and adhere to post orders.
- Manage entry and exit points, screen visitors and employees, and control the movement of people and vehicles.
- Conduct regular patrols to monitor the facility, identify potential security risks, and deter unauthorized access.
- Respond to security alarms, fire alarms, and other incidents while following established protocols.
- Document security incidents, visitor logs, preparing reports for management and other relevant information.
- Greet visitors and employees in a professional and welcoming manner, verify identities, grant access to specific areas and issue visitor identification badges.
- Answer questions and assist guests and employees.
- Open/close, lock/unlock sensitive rooms and areas.
- Conduct personal sweeps in closed areas; monitor prohibited items in certain areas.
- Correspond and interact with corporate security personnel regarding orders and execution.
- Protect classified materials and ensure proper handling and storage according to regulations.
- Act as a first responder in emergency situations, assisting and coordinating with other emergency personnel.
- Explain security procedures and report incidents.
- Identify and resolve security issues, respond to emergencies, and make sound judgments.
- Accurately maintain records and follow procedures.
- Communicate with colleagues, supervisors, and other relevant parties regarding security matters.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Experience: Minimum 3 years relevant experience or equivalent, with high-level security experience on DOD or military site preferred. Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) certification preferred.
3. Skills: Familiarity with security protocols, emergency procedures, and relevant regulations including DISS (Defense Information System for Security). Meticulous attention to detail. Basic computer skills to operate security systems and prepare reports. Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to articulate and explain dynamic situations coherently. Understand accountability and lead by example.
4. Clearance: Must have a current active secret clearance; ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance preferred.
5. Other: Ability to lift up to 35Ibs and move office equipment. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods. Ability to work a flexible schedule. This position is not eligible for telecommuting or hybrid work arrangements.

Job Functions:
- Assist Security Manager to recruit, interview, select, train, supervise, counsel, and discipline department staff for efficient control of the department.
- Supervise and direct security staff to implement the security plan to ensure safety, care, customer service, and efficiency.

Security Guards are responsible for conducting a variety of security-related duties and must be familiar with current federal and state laws, and USCG policies, practices, and standard operating procedures. Security Guards are responsible for controlling entry/exit posts; roving patrols; control, issuance, and storage of keys; alarm and fire system monitoring; enforcing building rules and regulations; prohibiting unauthorized access; responding to incidents, accidents, injuries, and/or illnesses; and other additional duties as required by supervision/management.

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Security Operations Dispatcher is an essential emergency operations position responsible for receiving emergency and non-emergency calls and signals for service over the telephone, computer, and radio. Position Overview: Embedded Senior Security Officer - Houston, TX (Onsite)
Insite Risk Management delivers bespoke, ongoing physical security programs to both enterprise and private clients. The Senior Security Officer is a fully embedded security resource to be based out of Insite’s client Houston HQ Office. This individual will be backed by Insite’s team of multidisciplinary security experts and help oversee the tactical day-to-day efforts of the Insite security program, as well as office-related security efforts. This individual will support the client’s day-to-day needs as security matters arise that require dedicated security advisement and support.
This position is based in the Houston, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Senior Security Officer reports directly to the client’s Manager of Corporate Facilities and Security and the Insite Security Program Lead.
- Supervising Houston office physical security and serve as a security liaison for Corporate Security, develop relationships with base building management, and local responders and law enforcement during incidents
- Oversee local application administration of access control system in line with standards developed by the firm (under Insite’s consulting findings and recommendations)
- Coordinate with building management to ensure fire life safety drills are performed according to local code requirements and routinely inspect site security posture and take immediate corrective actions, where possible; manage vendor service calls where third-party maintenance is required
- Carry out on premise passive monitoring and passive surveillance of Houston HQ
- Serve as a first responder for security incidents in accordance with the client’s Use of Force policy (developed by Insite’s consulting team) and applicable laws.
- Serve as a first responder to medical emergencies, providing immediate assistance and rendering first aid, CPR, or AED assistance in accordance with training, certification, and applicable regulations.
- Assist with onsite or local special events and provide executive protection liaison for high profile visitors
- Effectively communicate with users in a timely manner regarding all requests to ensure appropriate expectations are established
- Assist in the coordination of day-to-day vendor entry/access to the office buildings through the designated building management request and service ticket tools/software
- Develop a working knowledge of client work processes, workplace culture and policies essential for effective service delivery to users
- Participate in special projects and initiatives, as needed
- Assist Insite’s Security lead with annual reviews and refreshes of office assessments

Required Experience and Skills:
- Armed and current license
- Bachelor’s Degree required

- Solid knowledge base across physical security domains including: physical security assessments; threat assessment and management; and critical event planning and response; and security training
- Experience in one or several physical security domains. Hands-on familiarity with security technologies for access control, video management, intrusion detection, etc.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and coordinating with law enforcement
- Successful management of highly confidential information
- Track record of remaining organized and motivated while balancing and prioritizing multiple projects and objectives and meeting tight deadlines
- Highly proficient in MS Office software; Smartsheet proficiency a plus
