Purpose Statement

The Materials Group Leader is accountable for the suitable handling and processing of the entire supplies inventory in the warehouse during his shift. In addition to supervising and assigning tasks to workers and maintaining seamless functions in the warehouse.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

• Loading and unloading of freight and products
• Overseeing the handling of consignments and the supervising of the loading and unloading of the same.
• Maintaining an account of the entire supplies, raw and packaging materials inventory in the warehouse.
• Ensuring the proper labeling and tagging of goods and materials.
• Following all necessary documentation and legal procedures for inbound and outbound.
• Assigning work and functions to all warehouse workers and staff during his/her shift.
• Supervising the functions and working of the warehouse workers when the supervisor is absent.
• Adhering to the compliance of all legal, food safety, food quality and safety procedures of the company.
• Supervising proper shift allocations and ensuring efficiency of shift warehouse staff when supervisor is absent.
• Organizing and conducting necessary training activities for his/her shift staff and workers.
• Report to Supervisor any improper functioning of warehouse tools and equipment.
• Supervising the proper and smooth functioning of all activities.
• Assist in the shipping department when the Shipping Team Leader is absent.
• Supervise the deliveries on supplies to the lines according to SOP’s
• Overseeing the proper loading, unloading and handling of goods and materials.
• Validating the received materials and goods with the invoices to ascertain the precision of the goods delivered.
• Ensuring the completion of all paper work relating to the received and loading of goods.
• Ensuring the proper handling and stocking of goods, in compliance with warehousing and storage norms.
• Monitoring the warehouse records and inventory and filing reports of discrepancies in quantities and damages to the supervisor.
• Coordinate the transportation needs in Supervisor’s absence.
• Communicate with the Cold Storage facilities to coordinate inbound finished product loads when the supervisor is absent.
• Coordinating with suppliers regarding the shipments and delivery of orders.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• HS degree or GED
• 3 years of experience in a food-processing, pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing organization, preferably using computerized manufacturing equipment
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of qualifications in a pharmaceutical or food manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, food allergens and pest control
• Demonstrated knowledge of efficient and safe manufacturing operations to include product and associate safety, OSHA standards, product quality (success rates), cost control (minimizing downtime and waste, optimizing yield)
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
• Demonstrated mechanical and spatial aptitude, including the ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment
• Read, write and speak English
• Basic knowledge of SAP or similar software
• Good teamwork and leadership skills.
• Ability to effectively manage time and meet necessary targets.
• Knowledge and capacity to efficiently delegate work.
• Analytical and operational skills and the ability to adapt in a fast pace work setting.
• Proficiency with the MS Office (WORD & EXCEL)
• Previous experience using Syspro and/or riteSCAN is a plus.

COMPENSATION

Warehouse associate performs general warehouse duties such as but not limited to, working with heavy equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks to move freight. The warehouse worker completes paperwork, ensures tasks are completed safely with highest quality and on time. and must make decisions regarding the transfer of incoming and outgoing inventory.

Warehouse associate works as a team to complete tasks safely with highest quality and on-time to our customers. They must be able to lift and carry heavy objects, and work in hot or cold weather. Order puller - Include but not limited to, pulling customer order, warehouse stock order, various kits, complete discrepancy sheets.

Shipping - Include but not limited to, packing boxes, shipping labels and documents for UPS, FedEx, and motor freight.

Receiving - Receive and verify shipments from vendors via UPS, FedEx, and Motor freight. Put stock in appropriate locations. Receive and sign for shipments.

Quality Control - Through visual inspection verifies accuracy of every order before shipping.

Dispatch - Dispatch orders to include correct quantity, freight costs, tracking numbers, weight of packages.

Inventory/Control/Cycle Counting - Include but not limited to counting, measuring, recording as a team with other warehouse associates.

Hose Assembly: Includes but not limited to assembling and crimping hose and fittings in small and large quantities for customer orders.

Kitting: Includes but not limited to packaging various components to customer specification.

Front Counter: Includes but not limited to receiving customer inquiries at the front counter and working as a team identify correct replacement. This may require fabrication of hose, fittings, and other components.

Year-end inventory - Include but not limited to counting, measuring, recording as a team with other warehouse associates.

What you will be doing:

• Interacts with customers by phone, email, or in person and receives orders or changes in service.
• Adjusts complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.
• Processes and inputs all customer orders and receipts. Runs stock reports to check for product availability.
• Generates all related paperwork and necessary information required for customer work orders, checks all orders for special requests, and posts inventory records.
• Coordinates special, last minute shipping requests with the transportation departments, expediting orders, as necessary.
• Traces orders as required and notifies customers of any activity concerning their merchandise, including shipping and tracing information.

RNDC is looking for a talented and energetic Warehouse Production Supervisor for the Night Shift, to join our growing Operations team. The Warehouse Production Supervisor directly supervises and coordinates the activities of shift warehouse associates during the night shift. Duties and responsibilities include assigning people and equipment within the warehouse to complete the picking, handling, and loading of customer's orders in time for the next day's deliveries.
