About the Writing and Communication Program at the Georgia Institute of Technology
A unit of the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts (IAC), WCP teaches over 6,000 students a year in first-year composition, business/technical communication, research writing, and learning support. Committed to excellent teaching and faculty professional development, WCP is the winner of the 2021 Regents Teaching Excellence Award and the 2021-22 CCCC Writing Program Certificate of Excellence.
Current Brittain Fellows have recently received their Ph.D.s from more than 25 universities. Their degrees represent diverse disciplines: literature, writing studies, technical and business communication, creative writing, film studies, performance studies, cultural studies, and related fields. Brittain Fellow alumni hold academic and professional positions in universities and industries around the world. In 2024-25,17 Brittain Fellows found full-time jobs in tenure-track, continuing non-tenure-track, and business positions.
Job Summary
The Writing and Communication Program (WCP) at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia invites applications for the Marion L. Brittain Postdoctoral Fellowship, starting August 1, 2026. This three-year fellowship includes service, research, and a 3/3 teaching assignment in first-year composition or business/technical communication.
In addition to full benefits, including health insurance, retirement, and research support, Brittain Fellows receive preparation in and support for further development of their writing and multimodal pedagogy via postdoctoral seminars. Brittain Fellows also benefit from other support activities and services, including the postdoctoral seminar in technical communication and job market support for both academic and nonacademic positions.

Responsibilities
Brittain Fellow positions include these responsibilities:
teach three courses of first-year composition or business/technical communication per semester
pursue scholarly research and/or creative work
serve on Writing and Communication Program committees
attend new Brittain Fellow orientation and required postdoctoral seminars
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in rhetoric, composition, business/technical communication, literature, film, visual rhetoric/design, or other humanities fields must be conferred by August 1, 2026. Candidates are responsible for providing an official transcript, indicating PhD degree conferral, no later than June 1, 2026 in order to be onboarded to begin employment on August 1, 2026. Ph.D. must have been conferred within the last five years. Candidates should have university-level experience teaching writing and communication courses (e.g., first-year composition, business or technical communication, writing-intensive courses).
Preferred Qualifications
We are particularly interested in qualified applicants with research or teaching expertise related to any of the following areas:
Global Englishes or English Language Learning
Writing center studies expertise/tutoring experience
Technical communication, business communication, and communication in STEM disciplines/professions
Proposed Salary
First-year Brittain Fellow base salary is $60,980, with the salary increasing for the second and third years of the fellowship.

About the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology
The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the largest producers of electrical engineers and computer engineers in the United States. Almost 2,600 students are enrolled in the School's graduate and undergraduate programs, and in the last academic year, 801 degrees were awarded. Job Summary
The Ultrasound Imaging and Therapeutics Research Laboratory ( ) seeks self-motivated and talented individuals to participate in and support operations of a research laboratory. Our mission is to develop and translate approaches, devices, algorithms, and agents with clinical impact based on a synergistic combination of biomedical imaging, image-guided therapy, and bionanotechnology. Overall, we are a collaborative, full-spectrum research group leading the discovery, development, and integration of biomedical imaging technologies and theranostic agents for both fundamental research and clinical applications.
The Ultrasound Imaging and Therapeutics Research Laboratory is part of the School of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE), and the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University School of Medicine.
The research engineer will provide technical oversight of the research laboratory operations focused on in-vitro/preclinical/clinical imaging. The responsibilities will include daily interactions with graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, clinical collaborators, and other researchers, technical and other support to research staff, and direct reporting to the Principal Investigator.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Designing and fabricating electro-mechanical systems;
- Facilitate construction and maintenance of custom lab equipment (ultrasound transducers and imaging systems, laser systems, motorized linear axis and robotic positioners, etc.);
- Maintain instrumentation, implement best practices and training;
- Serve as a technical source for the researchers in the laboratory;
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related area.
Preferred Qualifications
- B.S. (M.S. preferred) in science or engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Biophysics, Chemistry, Biology);
- Experience in mechanical fabrication and/or circuitry;
- Experience with ultrasound or laser systems including NDE, diagnostic/therapeutic ultrasound, nanosecond pulsed lasers;
- Programming skills in Matlab, LabVIEW, Python, C++ desirable;
- Ability to assess and remedy difficult problems and situations quickly and efficiently;
- Ability to work well alone as well as in a team environment;
- Ability to work in physical, hands on environment;
- Ability to act independently on technical matters pertaining to projects and laboratory;
- Exhibits creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in conducting research programs/projects.

Summary:
Under supervision, the incumbent of this position provides professional nursing care to clinic patients. Works collaboratively with the providers within the team setting to facilitate quality care for the patient.
Responsibilities:
- Performs general nursing care to patients. Administers treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
- Assists with the preparation of equipment and aids provider during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
- Observes, records, and reports patients' condition and reaction to drugs or treatments to providers.
- Oversees appointment bookings and ensures preferences are given to patients in emergency situations. Maintains timely flow of patients.

Job Summary

Monitor media inquiries, remain on call 24/7, and serve as a member of the crisis communications team for the Institute, providing backup to the Institute spokesperson, Media Director and Institute Vice President as necessary. About the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology
The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the largest producers of electrical engineers and computer engineers in the United States. Almost 2,600 students are enrolled in the School's graduate and undergraduate programs, and in the last academic year, 801 degrees were awarded. All ECE undergraduate and graduate programs are in the top five of the most recent college rankings by U.S. News & World Report.
In addition to the main campus in Atlanta, Georgia, ECE also has permanent operations at Georgia Tech-Lorraine in France and Georgia Tech-Shenzhen in China. The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the area of Heterogeneous Integration and Advanced Packaging (HI/AP). The School is interested in HI/AP topics including, but not limited to: bonding technologies for 3DHI, co-packaged photonics, 2.5D/3D HI technologies, advanced materials for HI/AP, system co-design and optimization, glass-core packaging technologies, and advanced assembly and interconnect technologies. Focus on system level demonstrations using HI/AP and circuit/system co-design are relevant.
The School seeks individuals with outstanding potential for research achievement, and a strong aptitude and interest in undergraduate and graduate teaching, as well as interest and experience in translating their research to commercial applications. The School of Psychology ( /) at the Georgia Institute of Technology ( ) in Atlanta, Georgia invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions in the broad area of Applied Psychological Science. Applicants will be considered at all ranks. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students.
We are interested in candidates whose research can complement and extend applied psychological science (i.e., I-O and Engineering Psychology). Therefore, we not only welcome applicants conducting traditional research (e.g., well-being, leadership, training, user interfaces and user experience, ergonomics, human-system integration) and emerging research (e.g., AI-based selection, human-AI-robot teaming) in these fields, but we also encourage applications from those working at the intersection of related fields (e.g., affective computing, labor economics, mobility and transportation, workspace design, assistive technology, public policy). Nursing Assistant - Care Partner - Acute Care - Ortho Surgical - full-Time Day Shift
The Care Partner is a support care provider who functions under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The Care Partner primary focus will be to promote a positive patient experience by partnering with the nurse, physician, healthcare team and other healthcare providers to provide excellence in patient experience; and assist with daily living activities and comfort measures. The Care Partner assists other health care providers with safe, age appropriate and culturally aware care by performing basic patient care functions; i.e. ADL's, ambulation, and vital signs.
The Care Partner may require approved advanced technical training skills may be required i.e. phlebotomy, simple treatments, dressing changes, oral suctioning, and discontinuing Foley catheters. Performing additional advanced skills may be required to support clinical care and will fluctuate depending on the needs of the unit. Performing clerical functions such as: retrieval of data, maintaining unit supplies, and transporting supplies/patient medications will be required. The Care Partner must be able to work in a fast-paced environment which requires multi-tasking and effective communication with the Registered Nurse and ancillary team. Must be able to perform under stressful conditions with a compassionate, respectful and service mindset. Must be able to take direction from a variety of care providers. Must be organized with excellent communication skills.
