Role Summary


The Logistics Team Lead oversees daily logistics and warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory control, timely order processing, shipping and receiving, and efficient movement of materials and equipment. This role leads and supports a small team, enforces processes, and serves as a hands-on leader to keep operations running smoothly.

Reports To: Logistics Manager


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and support logistics/warehouse staff in daily activities
  • Process and support client orders daily
  • Coordinate shipping, receiving, and inventory movements
  • Ensure accurate inventory tracking, including serialized equipment
  • Monitor workload, assign tasks, and prioritize daily operations
  • Enforce safety standards, procedures, and best practices
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and shipping issues
  • Maintain accurate records in inventory or warehouse management systems
  • Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and other teams as needed to meet business needs
  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Be the primary point of contact for other departments
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required. Associate degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or inventory operations
  • Previous leadership or team lead experience
  • Computer literacy required. Basic proficiency in MS-Office suite
  • Experience with WMS/ERP systems and inventory control processes
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a warehouse environment
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • A team player

  • Frequent bending, reaching, and manual handling of equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with quick turnaround expectations
