What you'll do as a Trainee Component Driver:
  • Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and handle lines to secure.
  • Operates truck in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
  • Inspect tractor-trailer equipment for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
  • Operates Driver Delivery Handheld (DDH), document delivery receipts/product temperatures and exceptions. Inspects trailer to ensure product is secure for undamaged transport of product.
  • Rides and trains with Driver Trainer of tractor-trailer to various destinations, gaining knowledge of commercial driving regulations and observing the Driver's skill in starting engine properly, approaching intersections, making turns, backing, parking, and maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
  • Maintain driver log (Manual or PeopleNet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
  • Assists the Driver in unloading trailer and delivering product into customer premises.
  • Provides customer service including on-time delivery of undamaged product, product returns and issuing valid customer credits.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a Trainee Component Driver Teammate:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Possess a Class A CDL.

Blasting is often required to remove surface contaminants to prepare parts for repairs and paint. As a blast operator, you will work alongside experienced team members and gain the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in your career. Through our extensive in-house training program, the successful applicant will be instructed via a series of computer based and hands-on training, the necessary skills of the position.

  1. Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to ensure full compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
  2. Perform a variety of blast techniques on various types of turbine engine components using a cross mix of equipment (high pressure air, blast tank and other types of equipment)
  3. Perform various masking and taping (preparing the part for blasting) and performing actual part blasting operations using materials such as aluminum oxide, plastic grit and wet blast.
  4. Set-up and operate blast machines and associated equipment to work instructions and manufacturer specifications.
  5. Secure supplies, tooling, and blast product prior to commencing operation.
  6. Perform routine inspections of blast equipment.
  7. Clean, adjust and maintain equipment using hand tools.
  8. Utilize daily, overhead crane and lifting equipment.
  9. Follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Read and interpret work instructions in various formats.
  10. Communicate all work-related problems and issues with supervisors or other departments in a timely and efficient manner.
Required Qualifications
  1. Two years' work experience in a manufacturing setting.
  2. Experience with and/or a familiarity with pressure gages.
  3. Demonstrated ability to perform basic shop math, including working with decimals and fractions.
  4. Possess a solid mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand step-by-step processes from the reading of work instructions.
Other Qualifications
  1. High school or technical school graduate or equivalent.
  2. Ability to learn the proper use of hand-tools while demonstrating good eye-hand coordination.

Overview:

Are you enthusiastic about Supplier Quality working in collaboration with Suppliers, Internal Production & Purchasing/Supply Chain? Global Power Components is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Quality Assurance department. As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be crucial in ensuring smooth operations with minimum/no Quality escape from suppliers by utilizing process-based thinking and risk mitigation strategies.


Responsibilities:

  • Receiving Inspection: Develop and implement a robust Receiving Inspection plan based on supplier quality performance, Part/Process criticality, and risks. Utilize training and implementation of statistical sampling plans as needed.
  • Supplier Audits & Qualifications: Lead on-site audits and evaluate suppliers on their manufacturing and supporting processes to ensure adherence to ISO 9001 quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Supplier Performance Monitoring: Review and implement a robust supplier performance monitoring process (working with Purchasing), analyze the trend on Quality escapes from suppliers and recommend improvement plan for supplier development to improve the Quality performance.
  • Problem Solving: Collaborate with suppliers to investigate and resolve Quality issues, supporting corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Lead the resolution of complex quality issues, utilizing advanced problem-solving tools to identify root causes and implement effective preventative measures (Design and Process improvements, Implementation of best practices and others).
  • Supplier Quality Parts Per Million (PPM)/Defects per Unit (DPU) improvement: Provide quality support for operations, working closely with production teams to address quality-related issues and drive continuous improvement (Formalize Data collection on supplier defects found in Production, Develop and implement Supplier PPM/DPU improvement)
  • Supplier Process Validation: Lead supplier process validation activities such as FAI (First Article Inspection)/PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and Gage R&R to drive APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and ensure product consistency.
  • Industry Trends & Innovation: Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, make improvement recommendations to leadership based on new insights.
  • Compliance: Understand and comply with all applicable company policies and rules.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a similar technical field with 5 years of experience in quality engineering focusing on supplier quality within the manufacturing industry OR associate degree from technical college with 10 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of quality tools such as APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, Gage R&R, CTQ, SPC, 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, Pareto, and control charts are a plus.
  • Experience in Sheet Metal Fabrication, Welding, Paint and Electrical/Mechanical Assembly processes is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and Data analysis tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Minitab, Power BI or similar); Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor) and SharePoint is a plus.
  • Certification (CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt) is a plus.
