Position Overview: Embedded Senior Security Officer - Houston, TX (Onsite)

Insite Risk Management delivers bespoke, ongoing physical security programs to both enterprise and private clients. The Senior Security Officer is a fully embedded security resource to be based out of Insite’s client Houston HQ Office. This individual will be backed by Insite’s team of multidisciplinary security experts and help oversee the tactical day-to-day efforts of the Insite security program, as well as office-related security efforts. This individual will support the client’s day-to-day needs as security matters arise that require dedicated security advisement and support.

This position is based in the Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

• The Senior Security Officer reports directly to the client’s Manager of Corporate Facilities and Security and the Insite Security Program Lead.
• Supervising Houston office physical security and serve as a security liaison for Corporate Security, develop relationships with base building management, and local responders and law enforcement during incidents
• Oversee local application administration of access control system in line with standards developed by the firm (under Insite’s consulting findings and recommendations)
• Coordinate with building management to ensure fire life safety drills are performed according to local code requirements and routinely inspect site security posture and take immediate corrective actions, where possible; manage vendor service calls where third-party maintenance is required
• Carry out on premise passive monitoring and passive surveillance of Houston HQ

About the role:

Oversees PenAir Credit Union’s fraud mitigation strategies and physical security program, ensuring effective risk reduction practices and timely deployment of loss prevention initiatives. Summary

Our client, a top-tier professional services firm with a large global footprint, seeks a Physical Security Manager (Security Manager // NOT a cybersecurity role) responsible for overseeing and strengthening physical security operations across the United States and key locations in Latin America, to safeguard its people, offices, and assets. A Security Engineer serves as the security engineer of complex technology implementations in a product-centric environment; is comfortable with bridging our client between legacy development or operations teams and working toward a shared culture and vision; works to ensure developers create the most secure systems while enhancing the privacy of all system users; and has experience with white-hat hacking and fundamental computer science concepts.

• 1+ years of experience developing AI-enabled solutions using modern LLM tools (e.g., Codex, Claude, or similar) to support GRC and Incident Response processes.
• 3+ years of experience within each of the following: - Incident response - managing the security of multiple platforms, operating system, software and network protocols for a large IT organization - risk management, auditing, assessment, industry security framework, and/or internal controls - security, operations, control assessment, risk management, auditing, and/or internal controls - with security and privacy legal and regulatory requirements - performing information security risk assessments and risk analysis.

Skills Required:

• Security Engineers will possess knowledge and experience in safeguarding sensitive data from cyber-attacks.

Experience Required:

• This classification must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience with developing and implementing technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities.

Education Required:

• This classification requires the possession of a bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
• ITIL Foundation certification and CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
