The Public Safety Security & Loss Prevention Internship Program offers students and aspiring professionals hands-on experience in security operations, guest safety, and asset protection within a dynamic environment. Interns will work alongside seasoned professionals to develop practical skills in surveillance, incident response, and theft prevention while gaining insight into the operational aspects of a large-scale facility.
Responsibilities:
- Consistent attendance and adherence to the posted schedule is a job requirement. Includes attendance of Park Discovery training, Security department training, and Security in-service training.
- Must meet all Human Resources requirements for internship program, including attendance of intern events/meetings.

Responsibilities:
• Strong knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients at all levels.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a criminal background test, drug test, and clean driving record is required.
- Ability to travel (with own transportation) to client sites within the greater Washington DC area and occasionally beyond.
- Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., criminal justice, security management) preferred
- 3+ years of experience in security consulting, risk assessment, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Information
- Systems Security Professional (CISSP)) are a plus

What You’ll Do
- Develop and grow new business within security systems and structured cabling markets
- Leverage existing industry relationships to generate qualified opportunities

- Maintain consistent communication with clients and leadership
- Represent the company with integrity and professionalism
What We’re Looking For
- Proven security sales experience

- College degree or military background preferred
