POSITION SUMMARY:

The Contractor Specialty Representative will work with an existing Gypsum team with a focus on promoting USG Joint Compound products. This position applies extensive product, technical, and installation expertise to promote USG Systems and establish strong relationships with gypsum contractors, installers, and dealers. In addition, providing installer training, project management, jobsite assistance and collaborate effectively with USG gypsum sales team, local market representatives, and key channel customers.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Convert non-USG contractors by conducting job site visits and performing job site product demonstrations to communicate the benefits of USG products and services.
  • Ensure successful product installation by providing field support for large, specialized jobs.
  • Assist gypsum sales in conducting effective sales calls by performing hands-on training and demonstrations, soliciting feedback on USG products and services, and making technical or product recommendations that benefit customers and USG.
  • Act as a consultant to the customer base by working with customers to address day-to-day challenges in inventory, distribution, projects specifications and other related areas; and approaches these issues from a consultative selling perspective, looking for ways that USG can develop stronger partnership with each.
  • Provides feedback and follow-up on job site visits, training, and demonstrations by acting on customers requests, communicating pertinent information to other USG departments, and completing the appropriate administrative duties.
  • Influences the quality of USG customer service by identifying gaps in sales representatives technical and product knowledge and recommending training.
  • Improves sales and profits by assisting in the communication of new product information to the regions and providing feedback to product management.
  • Assists the product management group in developing strategies by contributing relevant information on USG and competitors’ product usage and market trends and setting product and customer specific goals for the assigned region.
  • Field lead person in product development or improvement, working closely with USG research formulator as needed.
  • Based on product strategies, build contractors preference for key products (i.e. Joint Compound, Paper Faced Bead, and Drywall Grid while acknowledging opportunities for other products to promote within the USG portfolio.

  • Increases the effectiveness and quality of USG products by working with manufacturing and R&D to understand product formulations gathers data from market on customers responses to the formulas and applications and communicates recommended adjustments to product management and research.
  • Delivers effective product training / demonstrations by reviewing training needs, preparing training logistics and materials, soliciting and communicating feedback, and following up on additional training needs.
  • Educates staff and customers on the proper use of USG products by displaying expert knowledge of USG products and best practices for applications.
  • Ensures customers’ product satisfaction by providing support and resolving job site project issues.
  • Improves customers satisfaction by frequently communicating with sales representatives regarding job sites, customers training sessions, issues, and resolution of issues
  • Ensures accurate documentation of customer visits by entering all pertinent information into weekly call log report and job trial forms.
  • Ensures the appropriate materials are on site for training (e.g., samples, literatures, demonstration products…)


KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. In lieu of degree, candidate should have equivalent field and industry experience

Experience

Salary and Benefits
Annual base salary for newly appointed BPAs varies per grade, as follows: GL-5/GL-7 $51,632 - $92,219 per year. Border Patrol Agents are eligible to select from an array of federal employment benefits that include health, dental and other insurance plans, a generous annual and sick leave program, and participation in the Thrift Savings Plan, a retirement plan akin to a traditional ROTH 401(k) offering.

Duties and Responsibilities
As a BPA, you will be part of our 60,000+ workforce that strives to protect the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity. Being a BPA makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) profession.
Typical assignments include:

* Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and custom laws and inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations
* Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions to include using infrared scopes during night operations
* Interpreting and following tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband
* Performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks
* Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using a variety of government assets such as vehicles, horses, vessels, watercraft, off-road vehicles, ATVs, snowmobiles, and motorcycles for the accomplishment of the USBP Mission.

Qualifications
You qualify for the GL-5 grade level if you possess one of the following:
Experience: One (1) year of general work experience that demonstrates the ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and maintain composure in stressful situations; to learn regulations, methods, and techniques through classroom training and/or on-the-job instruction; and the ability to gather concise information through questioning, observation, and examination of documents and records; OR
Education Substitution: A bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR
Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of general work experience AND successfully completed college education. This will be calculated using your resume and official or unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.
You qualify for the GL-7 grade level if you possess one of the following:
Experience: One year of specialized work experience that shows you have the skills necessary to:

Education Substitution for the GL-7 grade level: A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement, which is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average (i.e., GPA of 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0), or (3) honor society membership. Or will receive a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. Or one full year of graduate-level education in a field of study related to law enforcement (e.g., criminal justice, homeland security, justice studies, law enforcement, courts and judicial systems, forensic technology, forensic psychology, or corrections and rehabilitation) from an accredited college or university; OR

Other Requirements
Citizenship: You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.
Residency: You must have had primary U.S. residency (includes protectorates as declared under international law) for at least three of the last five years.
Age Restriction: In accordance with Public Law 100-238, this position is covered under law enforcement retirement provisions. Campus Services is a business unit within the division of Student Engagement and Well-Being. Campus Services is comprised of five departments providing services and support to students, faculty, staff, and visitors of Georgia Tech. In addition to these departments, Campus Services has an administrative staff devoted to strategically consolidating services in Capital Projects, Finance, and Sustainability. Job Summary

Provide executive level administrative services for one or more executive positions. Efforts include event planning, scheduling, briefings, and presentation preparation and facilitating visits to and communications with the AVP's office.

Job Summary

Under the Criminal Investigations Division of the Georgia Tech Police Department, support investigators with online searches, data retrieval, and online data tracking. Provide online support for investigators when needed and provides on-call data retrieval. Investigate, analyze, obtain, compile, and disseminate records and information to assist law enforcement personnel with all types of criminal investigations. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Institute and unit management, faculty, staff, students, and vendors. Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Conduct & Log Threat Assessments/Open-Source Checks. Manage and disseminate the collection of criminal intelligence data for entry into an information storage and retrieval systems. Review overnight activity reports and conduct criminal intelligence workups for individuals identified in the reports; disseminate information to the appropriate investigative entity.

Job Duty 2 -
Support Patrol/Investigations Division with Video Footage. Use open-source data and software to document and track potential threatening individuals, situations, and security-related issues to the campus of Georgia Tech.

Job Duty 3 -
Conduct investigations for assigned cases and provide assistance for non-assigned cases. Coordinate the exchange of interstate and intrastate information pertaining to criminal activity and criminal movement; prepare analytical reports of intelligence information; research patterns, structures, trends, and movements of criminal groups or individuals; develop recommendations for subsequent investigation; create draw charts and maps to substantiate recommendations.

Job Duty 4 -
Create intelligence briefings and case updates for dissemination department-wide. Research, compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data from department and outside agency reports as well as threat referrals to make appropriate and timely notifications.

Job Summary

The Research Development Manager provides specialized support to faculty for the development of competitive research proposals. This position analyzes funding opportunities, organizes large interdisciplinary proposal teams, manages the proposal development process, and provides strategic guidance and practical assistance for the development of proposal content. The Research Development Manager also prepares teams for sponsor site visits and conducts funding-related programs and workshops.



Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 - Identify and analyze funding opportunities that align with the institution's research priorities and strategic goals. Prepare funding opportunity briefs and presentations.


Job Duty 2 - Support faculty in the development of proposal content through development of custom writing templates, substantive editing, and guidance on effective communication including graphics. Arrange reviews of proposals by topical experts.

Job Duty 3 - Organize proposal teams and drive proposal development by creating and managing documents, timelines, and meetings.

Job Duty 4 - Collaborate with various units to obtain necessary resources and information and to coordinate proposal submissions.


Job Duty 5 - Conduct programs and workshops to increase skills and knowledge required for successful proposal development (e.g., funding program overviews, collaboration best practices, grant writing).

Job Duty 6 - Prepare teams for sponsor site visits, including oversight of meeting logistics and preparation and review of presentations.

Job Duty 7 - Analyze feedback from funding agencies along with broader research funding trends to enhance the competitiveness of future submissions and to inform institutional strategic planning and resource allocation.


Job Duty 8 - Build and update office resources to improve the research development service.

Job Duty 9 - Stay current on developments in research funding and grant writing by participating in professional development opportunities and engaging with relevant literature.

Job Duty 10 - Perform other related duties as assigned.



Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Associate degree in a related discipline or equivalent, related experience.
