UNC Rex has a robust and efficient surgical program.
We have two separate OR departments that perform both inpatient and outpatient procedures on adult and pediatric populations.
Our OR West has 12 Operating Rooms and OR East has 10 Operating Rooms and 1 Procedure Room.
The Nurses and Surgical Technologists provide intraoperative care for a variety of service lines including Plastics, GYN, GU, General, Bariatrics, Colorectal, Orthopedics, Neuro, Urology, Pulmonology and ENT.
Summary: The Surgical Technologist I works under the supervision of a surgeon and registered nurse to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
Surgical technologists possess expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique and combine the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician's performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
Has baseline knowledge and ability to perform duties of surgical scrub at entity they serve.
Responsibilities: 1.Performs technical skill duties in all operating room specialty service areas, ensuring that proper technical practices are employed according to accepted standards of process.
2.Provides proper maintenance, assembly, handling, and sterilization techniques of specialty instrumentation.
3.Follows aseptic technique.
Proactively identifies contamination and/or breaks in aseptic technique and implements corrective actions.
4.Performs surgical counts.
Follows policies and procedures for incorrect counts and reports discrepancies appropriately.
5.Labels drugs and solutions; monitors quantities used.
6.Assists in the proper identification, preparation, handling, and labeling of surgical specimens.
7.Actively participates in the planning and set up of instruments, supplies, and surgical drapes in an organized manner to provide optimal accessibility during the procedure.
8.Assists the surgeon, demonstrating an understanding of the patient's anatomy and abnormalities which affect the surgical procedure.
9.Assists in picking cases and planning of instrument needs.
10.Recognizes and modifies scrubbing procedures based on pertinent information to develop modifications to standard approaches to care and communicates with the surgical team.
Responds to surgical emergencies and follows hospitalwide emergency management plans.
11.Inventories, receives, and stores supplies under the direction of Surgical Services leadership.
12.Identifies and reports defective instruments, supplies, and equipment.
Assists with restocking operating/procedure rooms and sub-sterile areas.
13.Assists the registered nurse during the intraoperative implementation phase of nursing practice.
14.Operates complex equipment and other resources in the operating room, troubleshooting as necessary 15.Serves as a mentor for Surgical Technician Trainees and will serve as a preceptor as needed.

Job Description Summary:
Electronic Imaging Technician at Van Wert Hospital from 8am-230pm 4 days a week. Works under the direction of the Manager of Radiology Support Services (Imaging Service Center). Conducts technical support to internal and external customers by efficiently performing a wide variety of tasks utilizing Picture and Archive Communications systems (PACS) technology with the ultimate goal of accurate and efficient utilization of electronic/manual image and data storage, reporting and distribution methodologies.

Assists PACs users throughout the organization in the use of PACS product to improve and assure accuracy of the patient imaging medical record. Educate physicians on use of all applicable software. Assist the radiologist, other physicians, and staff in the execution of their duties by acting as a resource person for timely, effective use of electronic and manual files of imaging records. Provide customers comprehensive technology problem determination and resolution using documented procedures and available tools.35 % Retrieve and/or create patients' electronic folders. Communicate reports and/or image data to the appropriate physician and other customers in a timely manner. - Experience with Adobe Customer Journey Analytics, Adobe Launch, or Adobe Target is a plus
- Knowledge of UX best practices, SEO fundamentals, QA/testing workflows, and digital analytics

- Experience using Azure DevOps or similar backlog management tools
- Ability to write clear user stories and define acceptance criteria

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for performing general warehouse duties. The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Basic Qualifications- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- No experience required and on the job training provided
- No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
- One (1) year of similar work experience preferred
- Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Sometimes using ladders, dusts and washes furniture, walls, machines, and equipment; cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures. Washes and replaces blinds
- Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas, either manually or by using hand trucks
- May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions. May also sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks
- Mixes water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications
- Strips, seals, finishes, and polishes floors
- Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment
- Gathers and empties trash
- Wipes and cleans tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas
- Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures
- Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms
- Periodically cleans overhead vents, dusts blinds, and polishes wood furniture
- Cleans interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
- Sprays insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation
- Sets up, arranges, and removes decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings
- Must keep janitor's closet neat and orderly and maintain equipment in good working order
- Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
- Monitors building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and possibly checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created
- Drives vehicles (if required) to perform or travel to cleaning work, including vans, industrial trucks, or industrial vacuum cleaners
- May be expected to make basic repairs
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned

- Maintain HVAC/R equipment through preventative maintenance and verify equipment is performing within specifications
- Troubleshoot and repair defective HVAC/R equipment, components, or wiring, including adding and reclaiming refrigerants
- Provide alternative solutions to mechanical problems on equipment when needed
- Maintain records of work required and performed in our Computerized Maintenance Management System
- Accurately log any inventory transactions that take place while working on equipment
- EPA certification for handling refrigerant
- 2-year degree or equivalent work experience in HVAC/R
- Ability to obtain Minnesota Special Engineer License for boiler operation
- Willingness to train on ARC flash and obtain Registered Unlicensed Electrician License
- Physical capability to perform job duties, including working at elevated heights on ladders and aerial lift platforms
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals to diagnose equipment issues
- Strong knowledge of HVAC system wiring, piping, troubleshooting and equipment controls
