The Boeing Company is currently seeking Flight Simulation Software Engineers (Associate, Experienced, and Senior) to join the Flight Simulation Labs team located in Berkeley, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

The roles will involve software development for tools that support simulation infrastructure across Flight Simulation Labs. Selected candidates will be aligned to a statement of work that best suits their interests and skillset, some of which could include:

• Creating core simulation infrastructure to serve as a jumping-off point for programs developing flight simulation capabilities
• Developing tools to simulate, monitor, and capture messages between subsystems in a lab environment
• Modeling various aircraft capabilities, including the ability to run constructive scenarios in a testing environment

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate, Experienced and Senior Level Software Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
• Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system
• Supports development of simulation environments to supporting testing performed by Mission Systems engineers
• Works on an agile team in order to accomplish team goals
• Executes and documents software research and development projects
• Works under general direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

As a Senior Simulation Software Engineer, you will be part of the Simulation and Test Systems team. The Simulation and Test Systems team is responsible for building the infrastructure necessary to enable the development, test, and deployment of our autonomous aircraft software. You will work closely with the hardware-in-the-loop test environments, high-fidelity physics simulation stack, and cloud-based Monte-Carlo infrastructure to enable the millions of flight equivalent hours necessary to certify our aviation products. These systems provide fast and accurate feedback on the behavior of our system through a wide variety of flight plans, environmental conditions, and system faults.

Responsibilities

In your role as a Displays Software Engineer, your primary focus will be designing, architecting, and building a variety of real-time user interface applications for controlling our automated aircraft systems. These can range from real-time embedded UIs on aviation-grade hardware to browser-based applications. All of these applications will support our work to build a fully certified system in multiple ways: they will serve as a platform for rapidly prototyping different workflows and designs; they will be directly used in our ongoing experimental test flight programs; and they will ultimately serve as a reference implementation for our certified displays and controls. Qualifications You Must Have:
