The Project Developer or Senior Project Developer will lead the development of commercial and industrial solar, storage, and EVSE projects across the United States, from project mandate through internal handoff to construction. Level and title will be determined based on the candidate's experience.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of project development in the C&I space, with Senior Project Developer candidates demonstrating deeper experience leading complex, multi-technology projects independently. This role reports directly to the Director of Customer Programs and is supported by the Account Management, Engineering, Financing, Legal, and Construction teams at PowerFlex to deliver turnkey, multi-technology solutions.

A successful Project Developer or Senior Project Developer will effectively lead project teams through development strategy, interconnection approval, site feasibility analysis, costing and pricing, contract execution, and project finance closing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall development of projects from customer award to NTP
• Develop and articulate a well-defined strategy to achieve project milestones, supported by analysis of risk, economics, and project competitiveness.
• Coordinate and collaborate with internal subject matter experts and functional groups toidentifyand schedule activities necessary to meet key milestones.
• Provide developmentexpertiseandmaintaintransparency with external customers and stakeholders,facilitatinga consultative sales process.

Qualifications
Education/Experience

• Bachelor's or master's degree in business, Finance, Environmental Science, Sustainability or Energy (MBA and/or CFA accreditation/advancement viewed favorably)
• 4+ years of relevant analytical, development, consulting, or regulatory experience
• Experience using financial modeling skills to perform financial analysis and modeling for project evaluation and decision-making
• Proficient in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proficient in Salesforce and ability to create useful dashboards and reports

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $100,000 to $140,000 annually. Title and compensation will be determined based on experience and may align to either the Project Developer or Senior Project Developer level. This position is eligible for PowerFlex's comprehensive Health and Welfare plans including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement plan and paid time off. The total compensation for this position may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation, as applicable). PowerFlex's compensation packages carefully consider a candidate's qualifications, experiences, and education in relation to the position.

• Collaborate with analysts, QA, and end users to gather requirements and deliver solutions

Education & Experience

• Four year degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related field
• Strong experience with C# (.NET Framework / .NET Core)
• Proven experience supporting and enhancing VB6 Applications
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including:
• T-SQL
• Stored procedures
• Performance turning and indexing
• Experience with web development (ASP.NET, MVC, Web APLs, or similar)
• Experience developing Windows applications (WinForms and/or WPF)
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong software development background and system management experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Desktop PC and Calculator, Policy Management System (proprietary software for the main database), FormDocs and Fortis

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience migrating VB6 applications to .NET
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience with Visual Studio, source control (Git, TFS, or similar)
• Knowledge of RESTful services and API integrations
• Experience in Agile or Scrum environments

Work Environment

This job is performed in a professional office environment. This is a full-time position with business hours Monday through Friday. Hours of work are typically 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional hours may be worked as appropriate. Work is routinely performed using standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copiers, in a fast-paced environment.

What Will I Do in This Position?

The Senior Software Engineer will work within our existing product development team to deliver rapid improvements to new and existing software systems. The engineer will be an integral part of BaseCamp’s software team. They will work collaboratively with other engineers, QA, UX Design, and a Product Manager to build the company’s proprietary software suite into the preeminent platform in the resale industry. Specific aspects of the role will include:

• Implement new features and fixes across the entire software stack
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of BaseCamp’s proprietary software suite, which combines a point-of-sale system, a product appraisal application and an inventory management system
• Own the quality of all software, writing unit and integration tests, while manually testing their own and peers' code changes
• Improve the reliability, and speed of BaseCamp’s software products
• Contribute to the refinement of BaseCamp’s development release processes
• Assist front-line teams to troubleshoot and resolve bugs as needed
• Play an integral role in the “Shape Up” software development life cycle
• Be a mentor by coaching and supporting fellow team members
• Be a team player, embrace collaboration, actively listen and respect the ideas of others
• Share in occasional on-call or support escalation for critical software incidents

What Are We Looking For?

• 6+ years of experience building web applications
• Strong understanding of one or more modern backend languages and frameworks
• Significant experience with modern front-end frameworks and API technologies
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Resourceful, with strong attention to detail
• Ability to produce high-quality code WITHOUT assistance from an LLM
