GP Strategies has an opening for an Aviation Instructor to support a large aerospace client in San Antonio, TX. We are seeking candidates who are able to conduct training covering a broad range of Aircraft electrical, mechanical, structural and systems subject matter including, but not limited to, shield terminations, crimping, bond & ground, soldering, seal, hole drilling, fastener installation/removal, and more. This is a full-time, benefitted position and will involve 50% travel Internationally and throughout the U.S. Background/Experience with heavy aircraft is required.

Job Summary:

• Confers with management/client to understand work situation. Performs needs, job and task analysis to determine training required for trainees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations and technologies.
• Recommends an implementation plan for development of instructional methods and delivery of individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops.
• Designs and develops teaching outlines and specific training to address the client needs by incorporating methods and requirements of instructional systems such as Instructional Systems Development (ISD), Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) or Training Systems Development (TSD) process.
• Selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works.
• Delivers training sessions covering specified areas of technical specialty.
• Designs and develops exams to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of recommended training.
• Evaluates training programs and reports on trainee progress.
• Maintains training programs and materials.
• Travels to client sites as needed.
• This role may require work on multiple shifts.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years education, training and/or prior experience in electrical, mechanical, or structures systems
• 2-5 years prior teaching/instructor classroom delivery experience
• Ability to travel up to 50% to various client locations throughout the U.S and Internationally
• Background/Experience in one or more of the noted platforms: C-17, 747 or KC46

Desired Skills:

• Engineering Drawings/Interpretation Experience (B/P, Drawings, Specifications, Repair Manuals)
• NACES School Ejection Seat Experience
• Flight Controls – Rigging
• Engineering - Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO)

Job Summary:

Conducts and performs training or solutions using the appropriate medium and method (classroom, computer-based training [CBT], simulations, on-the-job [OJT], coaching, job-aids) to satisfy business needs and requirements related to aircraft systems installation and repair requirements. Conducts training covering a broad range of aircraft subject matter.

Responsibilities:

• Instructs in the performance of aircraft installations, repairs, and modifications on commercial and military aircraft Airframe and Flight Control systems.
• Assesses and tests the competence of employees/students in performing tasks requiring certification or qualification to comply with government and organizational standards and specifications.

• Analyzes and interprets data. Provides feedback on assessment results.

Job Summary:

Conducts and performs training or solutions using the appropriate medium and method (classroom, computer-based training [CBT], simulations, on-the-job [OJT], coaching, job-aids) to satisfy business needs and requirements. Conducts training covering a broad range of mechanical and electrical subject matter.

Responsibilities:

• Assesses and tests the competence of employees/students in performing tasks requiring certification or qualification to comply with government and organizational standards and specifications.
• Expert in navigating technical documents related to manufacturing /repair documents and/or blueprints (detail, assembly, or installation drawings).
• Confers with management/client to understand work situation.
• Delivers training sessions covering specified areas of technical specialty.
• Evaluates training programs and reports on trainee progress.
• Maintains training programs and materials.
• Prepares training areas to be teach ready

Requirements:

• Electrical and Mechanical aircraft experience
• Experience as a classroom Instructor/Trainer
• Ability to travel 20%

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Performs all required Radiological and Lab duties in accordance with license and performs front desk duties as assigned. Demonstrates excellence in customer service and patient satisfaction.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Treats patients, visitors, medical staff, colleagues and others with compassion and respect.
• Places an emphasis on patient quality, convenience and customer service.

• Works assigned schedule and notifies management of absence or tardiness according to policy and practice.
• May be required to work alternate shifts and may be required to float to other clinic locations.
• Works with all clinic staff to ensure efforts are coordinated and that patients receive high quality care and services. Provides care to patients in a timely manner.
• Keeps patient and visitors informed of clinic progress.
• Keeps clinic environment clean, orderly and in compliance with company policy and accrediting standards.
• Works as a team member to ensure clinic efficiencies are within guidelines.

• Performs drug screens, urinalysis and other in-house lab tests accurately. Processes specimens for reference laboratories.
• Is cross-trained for Front Desk duties to include greeting patients, checking patients in/out, End of Day close out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release.
• Is cross-trained to check patients in/out of the computer.
• Maintains, calibrates and performs controls on lab/x-ray equipment daily. Inspects and reports artifacts from the x-ray screen. Operates equipment according to policy and manufacturer guidelines. Completes semi-annual X-Ray inspections.
•  Maintains records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, x-rays, and lab work sent out to other labs. Performs equipment audits as scheduled.
• Ensures the occupational client’s work form is followed and occupational procedures are adhered to.
• Participates in regular staff meetings keeps informed of information, polices, practices, memos and expectations.
• Works closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient, employee and proprietary business information. Understands and follows all company policies and practices regarding HIPAA.
• Maintains an awareness and working knowledge of required and available reports, resources, deadlines and other information and data sources and systems.
• Understands and follows company Compliance Program policies, procedures.
• Actively participates in the CQI Program.
• Timely completes and maintains required certifications and mandatory training.
• Follows all company policies pertaining to infection control and hand hygiene.

• Within 3 months of employment or promotion, must obtain and maintain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification.
• Within 30 days of employment or promotion, must obtain and maintain state license (if required by the state) for Office Laboratory Assistant.
• Other required training includes: Phlebotomy, Point of Care Testing, Direct Observation, Comp Evaluation and Front Desk Training modules as assigned. · Performs other duties as required.

EDUCATION:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services required.

EXPERIENCE:

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting preferred.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:

• ARRT Certification required. State licensure may be required.
