Charlottesville is a small city, but the range of infectious diseases that the Pediatric Infectious Service sees is very broad. University faculty, families, and community members travel the world, and Charlottesville has welcomed new Virginians from a very large number of countries. The service routinely cares for patients with wide-ranging infectious disorders, including tuberculosis, malaria, trypanosomiasis, leishmaniasis, leptospirosis, and many tick-borne and insect vector-borne diseases. The service serves as a regional resource for information concerning pediatric infectious diseases, and members are often called upon to serve in a public education role, with press interviews and television appearances on local, regional, and national distribution outlets, particularly in connection with new outbreaks, epidemics, and public education related to pediatric infectious diseases and their prevention. The Pediatric Infectious Disease Service provides essential support to a very active solid organ transplant service, hematology-oncology service, a growing bone marrow transplantation service, and a large variety of surgical services that can involve infections, including orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, and otolaryngology. In addition, the Pediatric Infectious Disease Service staffs an infectious disease referral and follow-up clinic, the Young Traveler’s Clinic, and the Diagnostic Dilemmas Clinic. It also helps manage an outpatient antibiotic therapy (OPAT) service. While this position is primarily clinical, there would be abundant opportunities for a motivated and energetic candidate to develop additional research, service, quality improvement, teaching or advocacy efforts. About the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the largest producers of electrical engineers and computer engineers in the United States. Almost 2,600 students are enrolled in the School's graduate and undergraduate programs, and in the last academic year, 801 degrees were awarded. All ECE undergraduate and graduate programs are in the top five of the most recent college rankings by U.S. News & World Report.

In addition to the main campus in Atlanta, Georgia, ECE also has permanent operations at Georgia Tech-Lorraine in France. Graduate students who spend at least one semester each at two Georgia Tech locations (Atlanta or Lorraine (North America or Europe) can earn the Georgia Tech Global Engineering Immersion Program (GEIP) Certificate when they receive the Georgia Tech M.S. degree.

Job Summary

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions in all ECE-related research areas. (Applicants in the areas of electromagnetics, or advanced packaging should submit to those calls.)

Candidates will be considered at the ranks of Assistant and Associate Professor in all technical areas of electrical and computer engineering. Exceptional candidates will also be considered at the rank of Full Professor.

The School is seeks individuals with outstanding potential for research achievement and a strong aptitude and interest in undergraduate and graduate teaching.

About the School of Arts, Entertainment, and Creative Technologies at the Georgia Institute of Technology

The School of Arts, Entertainment, and Creative Technologies was created in fall 2025 to further position Georgia Tech as an international leader in research, education, and community and industry engagement at the intersection of arts, technology, and design. Housed within Georgia Tech's College of Design, the school's pedagogical approach integrates artistic foundations, technical innovation, and creative entrepreneurship. The school leverages Georgia Tech's existing strengths in areas ranging from artificial intelligence and student startups to digital media and music technology, adopts the culture of practice-based studio pedagogy in the College of Design, and builds sustained partnerships with creative studios, technology providers, startup companies, nonprofits, and artists-in-residence taking advantage of Atlanta's thriving creative ecosystem.

The school will begin offering a B.S. in Arts, Entertainment, and Creative Technologies in Fall 2026. Through the degree, the School seeks to develop the next generation of leaders that will guide the transformation of creative practices by emerging technologies, as we also support the workforce needs and continued growth of the creative economy in Georgia.

The launch of this new school is a critical part of Georgia Techs broader strategic plan for growing the arts across the Institute. Georgia Tech recognizes the role of the arts in cultivating creative thinking, the increasingly important role that emerging technologies play in the arts, and the potential for Georgia Tech to support a thriving campus arts community in connection with a growing ecosystem of arts organizations and creative industries throughout the state. Job Summary

The School of Arts, Entertainment, and Creative Technologies () at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. Applicants will be considered mainly at the level of Assistant Professor. The School seeks applicants whose interdisciplinary creative practice and/or research connects innovation in emerging technologies with areas such as film, gaming, and immersive media. The candidates primary area(s) of interest may be in creative practice that integrates technology in novel ways, in the creation of new technological tools that support creative practices, or in any combination thereof.   • Teach core classes, including studios and/or lectures/seminars, in the B.S. arts, entertainment, and creative technologies degree that are aligned with the candidate's interests and expertise
  • Pursue a robust set of scholarly and/or creative activities that establish the faculty member and the school as a nationally recognized leader in the integration of arts, technology, and creative practice
  • Contribute to the planning and development of the new school, including strategic planning, curriculum development, and the eventual creation of additional academic offerings
  • Participate in service at the school, college, and Institute level, including search committees, student applicant reviews, and governance committees.

Candidates must have a terminal degree in a field related to the intersection of arts, entertainment, and creative technologies.
