*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*
▪ Provides direct primary medical care to clients of all ages, at UCHC and BVRMC (Hospital).
Prescribes and dispenses medications.
▪ Provides supervision of direct clinical staff as requested by the Executive Director and

▪ Assists in planning and maintaining quality standards for patient care.
▪ Maintains an accurate and complete patient medical record for all patients seen at UCHC and Hospital.
▪ Provides input to administration and Executive Director in developing and implementing risk management programs, Quality Assurance and Process Improvement Plan and customer service programs as appropriate.
▪ Participates in implementation of the Center's health care plan based on need, resources, and epidemiology and health behaviors of the targeted community. Directs clinical personnel in a manner that achieves continuous progress toward established goals.
▪ Provides input and works cooperatively with the Executive Director in the development and implementation of medical quality standards, clinical practice guidelines and protocols.
▪ Reviews patient satisfaction data and medical incidents regarding clinical matters and discusses significant occurrences/trends with the Executive Director.

Job Summary and QualificationsThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. - Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
- Participates in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
- Supports the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommends and implements courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.

About this unit:
- The Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) is designated 12-bed short-stay unit specifically for observation patients.
- Patients will be moved and monitored in the CDU post-operatively or when further medical evaluation is necessary to determine treatment plan.
- Unit will include: Patient Care Techs, RNs, CNCs and Manager.

A home base facility will try to be established, however this may not be the facility the clinician is regularly at. Float into our MCU or MST unit to care for adult MST, also Cross train and float to the birthing unit to care for mom-baby Couplets. Would not go to west campus. IF they have experience in Labor and delivery, they can float there as well.

Captures and maintains statistical data on utilization payor mix, census, average length of stay and other critical elements.

Requirements/Qualifications Candidates should have a minimum of 1-2 years experience in working with patients with psychiatric/behavioral health disorders.
Must be flexible to adjust to the needs of a fast-paced environment, demonstrate effective problem solving skills and display excellent oral/written communication skills.
Previous adult behavioral health and substance use treatment experience is preferred.
High School degree is required and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare or similar field is strongly preferred.
