A great client at UHY is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. The ideal candidate will have financial analysis expertise, project management experience, and strong decision-support and reporting skills.
The Senior Financial Analyst role is a hybrid position. This is a client direct hire position.
Senior Financial Analyst Responsibilities
- Manage complex financial and operational projects aimed at improving financial performance and supporting resource allocation decisions
- Work independently to coordinate cross-functional teams and multiple project participants
- Develop project scope, objectives, work plans, and timelines while monitoring ongoing progress
- Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for leadership and support implementation of findings
- Facilitate and lead project meetings, updates, and presentations to management
- Conduct data gathering, interviews, and analysis to support strategic and operational initiatives
- Analyze systems, procedures, and operations to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency
- Evaluate alternative methods and processes, including cost and benefit analysis
- Document current processes and define requirements for system or process enhancements
- Guide and mentor team members on analysis and project-related tasks
- Establish priorities, manage workflow, and occasionally supervise staff on assigned projects
- Collaborate with all levels of staff and leadership to support organizational initiatives
Senior Financial Analyst Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Masterβs degree preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related analytical role
- Strong financial analysis, reporting, and project management experience
- Ability to manage complex projects and work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
- Prior supervisory, consulting, or leadership experience preferred

The Financial Analyst role is an onsite position in Holly, MI. This is a client direct hire position.
Financial Analyst Responsibilities
- Analyze financial plans, projections, and actual performance; explain key variances and recommend corrective actions
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities and financial reviews
- Generate and distribute key financial reports and operating metrics to executive leadership
- Support budget and forecast preparation through volume, trend, and sales projection analysis
- Review division financial statements to identify major fluctuations and risks
- Ensure data integrity within the financial reporting system (OneStream)
- Assist with preparation of quarterly executive review materials
- Support audit activities (internal and external) and maintain proper documentation
- Analyze internal controls, fixed assets, tooling, and general ledger activity
- Identify process and control deficiencies and assist with remediation efforts
- Support Controller and leadership with ad hoc projects, reporting requests, and special initiatives
Financial Analyst Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3β5 years of financial analyst experience (automotive industry preferred)
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Experience with consolidation and reporting in OneStream
- SAP experience preferred
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Strong financial analysis, data analysis, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively

A great UHY client is seeking a Bookkeeper / Payroll Managerto join their team. This role supports multi-company payroll processing along with basic bookkeeping for several small entities. This position is well-suited for a strong Staff- or Senior-level payroll/accounting professional. This is a client direct hire, fully onsite position based in Shelby Township, MI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for five companies (four weekly payrolls and one bi-weekly), supporting up to approximately 250 employees.
- Administer payroll using ADP Workforce Now for the largest entity.
- Process payroll for smaller entities using QuickBooks Payroll and Patriot Software
- Handle garnishments, deductions, benefit changes, payroll adjustments, and employee payroll inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Perform basic bookkeeping for smaller companies, including Accounts Payable, invoicing, and reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and support basic reporting needs Track restaurant inventory using QuickBooks Provide general accounting and payroll support as needed
Qualifications:
- Strong payroll experience required
- Experience processing payroll for multiple entities highly preferred
- ADP Workforce Now experience strongly recommended
- QuickBooks experience highly desired; Patriot Software exposure a plus
- Basic bookkeeping and general accounting experience
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in an onsite environment
