You will enable the VMS organization to continue to advance its technologies in support of our Phantom Works and Fixed-Wing programs. The team is responsible for developing integration test assets, real-time software test environments, subsystem/system testing, and evaluating system performance in simulation lab environment. Simulation and modeling are utilized to assist in requirements development, software and hardware development, and equipment verification and validation.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop electrical schematics and designs for cabling, test hardware, and/or test stations

• Select components for hardware designs and support the procurement and fabrication of hardware designs

• Integrate hardware systems and/or software together in a test setting

• Operate complex test stations, electronic test equipment, and test software

• Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements

• Solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

• 1+ years of experience testing and troubleshooting electronics and electrical systems

• Experience interpreting model-based engineering or 2D engineering drawings to develop technical illustrations

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Job Summary:

The Electrical Design Engineer possesses advanced knowledge in the field of electrical engineering, which is utilized to provide electrical engineering design for HVACR equipment as produced by Smart Family of Cooling Products.

Essential Job Duties:

• Main Goals:
• Create all electrical schematics for all manufacturing projects.
• Create all electrical backplate vinyl's.
• Create all operator vinyl's.
• Select electrical components for project.
• Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
• Designing the electrical aspect of HVACR units with the SOLIDWORKS program.
• Designing the electrical aspect of HVACR units with the AutoCAD program.
• Test electrical systems and adjust as needed.
• Provide support throughout the manufacturing of the electrical systems.
• Utilize CAD to design and perfect new electrical systems.

• Design prototypes, troubleshoot potential issues, make changes to fix any issues and create specifications and other details for the systems.
• Document specifications, schematics, and diagrams regarding projects.
• Produce reports addressing project progress and other details for managerial staff.
• Assist in the production of electrical systems in the manufacturing of industrial equipment.
• Maintain up-to-date records of all work completed and properly store on the public drive.

Responsibilities:

Facilities Engineering / Design and Construction

• Assist Engineering in preparation of plans using AutoCAD
• Assist Engineering Personnel in surveys of existing sites and stores to verify existing conditions
• Assist in drafting of remodels or new sites, including parking lots and stores
• Coordinate scanning of existing paper drawings into electronic files
• Visit new sites to determine best layout for building, parking and truck docks as well as truck paths through the site.

Compensation and Benefits:

First year Facilities Engineering Interns will be paid at $17.00 per hour. Master Students and Returning Wakefern Supply Chain/Logistic Interns will be paid at $19.00 per hour. Position Summary

Sterling is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician with strong machining, fabrication, and design experience to join our team. This role will support engineering and production initiatives by designing, fabricating, and modifying components, fixtures, and tooling in a machine shop environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with extensive hands-on experience in tool and die making, manual machining, and fabrication, capable of working independently while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality.

This role will initially be hired as an Engineering Technician III, with the opportunity for promotion to Engineering Technician IV upon transition to a core employee.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and modify tools, fixtures, and custom components to support engineering and production operations.

The Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation in the College of Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, is seeking qualified temporary instructors to teach undergraduate courses, graduate courses, and/or special topics workshops should an opening arise in the Fall and Spring semesters, or for the Summer term. Sales Design Engineer – CEA (Controlled Environment Agriculture)

Role Overview

The Sales Design Engineer for CEA plays a critical role at the intersection of sales, engineering, and customer solutions. This position supports the sales process by translating customer needs into technically sound, well-designed CEA systems, while helping ensure feasibility, accuracy, and alignment between sales commitments and execution.

This role partners closely with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to develop conceptual designs, validate system requirements, and support proposals for CEA projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the sales team by developing conceptual and preliminary CEA system designs based on customer requirements
• Translate customer goals into technical layouts, system concepts, and solution narratives
• Assist with technical scoping, system feasibility, and early-stage design considerations during the sales process
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure designs align with engineering standards, cost assumptions, and operational capabilities
• Provide technical input for proposals, presentations, and sales documentation
• Participate in customer discussions as a technical resource when appropriate
• Identify risks, constraints, or design considerations early in the sales cycle to support accurate selling

Qualifications (Initial)

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
• Background in engineering, design, or a technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
• Experience with CEA systems, greenhouse design, or related agricultural or industrial systems required
• AutoCAD or Visio experience
• Knowledge of Project Management processes
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
• Strong collaboration skills and comfort working cross-functionally
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to think both conceptually and systemically

Title: Design Technician / Design Technician II – Electric Distribution

Location: Remote (Preference for Philadelphia, PA / Southeastern PA / New Jersey)

Hire Type: Contract-to-Hire

Shift/Hours: Monday–Friday, standard business hours

Base Salary: $21-24/hour (DOE)

About the Opportunity

An engineering organization is seeking Design Technicians to support electric distribution and substation infrastructure projects. This role focuses on developing utility design packages using MicroStation, supporting large-scale infrastructure projects, and applying electric utility standards. The Design Technician I role is ideal for candidates with foundational experience, while the Design Technician II role is intended for candidates with greater independence and deeper electric distribution design expertise.

Job Duties

• Develop electric distribution design packages based on project maps, data, and utility standards.

• Create and modify design drawings using MicroStation.

• Support substation and large-scale utility infrastructure projects.

• Apply electric utility design standards, specifications, and engineering criteria.

• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure design accuracy and completeness.

• Translate project inputs into constructible design documents.

• Maintain organized design documentation and drawing files.

• Support multiple projects while meeting schedule and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Design Technician I: Typically 1–3 years of electric utility design or drafting experience.

• Design Technician II: Typically 3+ years of electric distribution design experience.

• MicroStation proficiency required.

• Experience supporting electric distribution infrastructure projects.

• Ability to interpret utility base maps and project design inputs.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and attention to detail.
