RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

/n

• Work 12-hour shifts: Day shift 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM or Night shift 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
/n• Every other weekend requirement
/n• Alternating holiday schedule (usually every other holiday)
/n• Float between ER and Med Surg units as needed
/n• No call or standby requirements
/n• Team nursing model with 1:8 nurse-to-patient ratios
/n• Work with dementia patients, dependent older adults, diabetes management, rehabilitation/restorative care, IV medications, fluid and blood administration, wound care, initial trauma care in ER, and geriatric population
/n• Must have 2 years of nursing experience
/n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
/n• Must be comfortable with understanding dementia, stroke care, skin care, and geriatric patient care
/n• Responsible for titrating drips including electrolytes, hypertensive medications, IV antibiotics, and blood transfusions
/n• Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips
/n• Work with EPIC charting system
/n• 3 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
/n• Scrubs required (no specific color)
/n• BSN not required
/n• 50-mile radius rule applies

This critical access hospital serves a rural community with 25 beds and operates as part of a larger healthcare network. The facility provides comprehensive care including emergency services, medical-surgical care, and swing bed services. The hospital utilizes team nursing approaches and maintains modern equipment including EPIC electronic medical records. The facility focuses on serving an older adult population with complex medical needs including dementia care, rehabilitation services, and post-acute care management.
