We are looking for 1–2 Lab Technicians to support mechanical and thermophysical materials testing as we accelerate hardware development.
What You’ll Do
You will support hands-on testing of structural and high-temperature materials critical to reactor performance.
Mechanical Property Testing
- Tensile testing
- Compression testing
- Friction testing
- 3-point and 4-point bending
Thermophysical Property Testing
- Thermal conductivity testing (Laser Flash Analysis – LFA)
- Coefficient of thermal expansion (Dilatometry – DIL)
Lab Operations
- Operate and maintain Instron and other high-value testing equipment
- Perform precision sample preparation and measurements
- Follow detailed lab procedures and safety protocols
- Ensure high data quality and documentation standards
- Support fast test turnaround while maintaining rigor
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related engineering discipline
- OR
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in a materials testing laboratory
- Experience running mechanical test equipment (e.g., Instron or equivalent)
- Comfort working with high-value, sensitive lab instrumentation
- Strong attention to detail in measurements and documentation
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hardware environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience conducting both mechanical and thermophysical testing
- Familiarity with LFA and dilatometry equipment
- Ability to analyze test data and write clear, structured test reports
- Experience supporting engineering teams in a product development environment

The General Manager (GM) –Battery Testing is responsible for the full P&L, operational leadership, commercial growth, and regulatory compliance of a mobility-focused TIC laboratory. The lab supports automotive, EV, aerospace, rail, and advanced mobility customers with testing, inspection, and certification services.
The GM ensures technical excellence, regulatory compliance (ISO/IEC 17025 and applicable mobility standards), strong client relationships, and profitable growth while maintaining a culture of safety, quality, and operational discipline.
Key Responsibilities
1. P&L & Business Leadership
- Own full profit and loss responsibility for the mobility laboratory.
- Develop and execute annual operating plans, budgets, and growth strategies.
- Drive revenue growth across automotive, EV, aerospace, rail, and next-gen mobility sectors.
- Monitor KPIs including revenue, margin, utilization, backlog, and cash flow.
- Optimize cost structure while maintaining service quality and accreditation compliance.
2. Commercial & Customer Strategy
- Partner with Sales and Business Development to grow key accounts and strategic OEM relationships.
- Identify new service opportunities (battery testing, EMC, environmental, durability, ADAS validation, etc.).
- Strengthen relationships with mobility OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
- Represent the lab in industry forums and with regulatory bodies.
3. Operations & Technical Oversight
- Oversee daily laboratory operations including testing, scheduling, capacity planning, and equipment utilization.
- Ensure compliance with International Organization for Standardization ISO/IEC 17025 and other applicable standards (SAE, IEC, UL, FMVSS, etc.).
- Maintain accreditations through bodies such as ANAB or equivalent.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, automation).
- Ensure capital investment planning aligns with market demand and ROI targets.
4. Quality & Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain rigorous adherence to safety and quality systems.
- Lead internal and external audits.
- Manage risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure testing integrity and data reliability for certification purposes.
5. People Leadership
- Lead multidisciplinary teams including engineering, technicians, quality, and commercial staff.
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing technical talent.
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and customer focus.
- Develop succession planning and leadership bench strength.
6. Strategic Growth & Innovation
- Evaluate new testing technologies (EV battery abuse testing, hydrogen systems, autonomous systems validation).
- Expand lab capabilities in alignment with electrification and advanced mobility trends.
- Support digital transformation initiatives (LIMS, automation, data analytics).
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or related field required)
- MBA preferred
Experience
- 10+ years in TIC, automotive testing, aerospace testing, or related technical services
- 5+ years in senior leadership or GM-level responsibility
- Demonstrated P&L management experience
- Strong knowledge of mobility regulatory frameworks and certification pathways

Job Purpose and Function:
The Sr. Engineer, R&D Testing and Validation position provides skilled technical insight to enable final product design by building product testing plans, testing prototypes and providing analysis aligned with global product qualification requirements.
In addition, the Getinge Aseptic Solution (GAS) Engineer, works with other internal and external team members to ensure timely and quality testing and data analysis in support of all product commercialization efforts. This is a hands-on position that requires a strong mechanical engineering background.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for completing all R&D protocol generation, test execution, and protocol event reporting.
- Lead and complete Design Verification and Validation test planning, execution, interpretation, and reporting.
- Design, conduct, and interpret experiments to support all GAS products and technologies, including aseptic Connectors, Fillers, and Filler-related consumable product development, evaluation, and verification.
- Apply scientific and technical test acumen toward the development of new test methodologies and improvement of existing methodologies, as well execution of test method validations.
- Provide technical oversight and leadership on matters regarding device testing for all product groups to include R&D Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing/Production, and Regulatory.
- Identify areas of improvement for test methods by staying current with best practices.
- Coach and mentor laboratory technicians or other technical personnel as required.
- Coordinate and run project meetings as needed.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties as requested, such as a Subject Matter Expert to departments outside of business area of primary responsibility.
- Develop budget and justification for new equipment and upgrades to existing equipment.
- Design and execute equipment qualification plans.
- Lead special projects as needed.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned by the Program Manager for the overall benefit of the organization

Physical Requirements:
- Employee is required to sit, stand, walk, and move around the facilities to include the lab/testing areas
- Must be able to use a variety of equipment to complete tasks
- May be exposed to moving mechanical parts and areas where electrical current is present
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Must travel as required to customer sites, training events, trade shows, etc.
- Estimated domestic and international travel of up to 20%
Salary range: $106,000 - $133,000 depending upon experience + 10% bonus target.
