Job SummaryUnder general supervision, on an assigned shift, starts, operates/monitors refrigeration equipment to supply chilled water for air conditioning. Monitors control air systems located within facility. Ensures operation is compliant with regulatory agency requirements. Key Job Elements- Operates, adjusts, troubleshoots and repairs refrigeration equipment.
- Balances, adjusts, and sets controls including but not limited to expansion valves, hydrostatic and electric regulators, and various switches to maintain temperature levels.
- Schedules building lighting and air-handling systems to accommodate building needs.
- Operates and maintains a refrigeration compressor room, including but not limited to, condensing, chilled water pumping and circulatory apparatus.
- Operates and maintains air mixing and conditioning units.
- Performs operational checks and inspections to ensure operating performance of equipment.

Key Responsibilities & What You Will Do:
* Install, service, troubleshoot, repair, inspect and maintain primarily commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers (boiler knowledge, for example in a hospital setting - a big plus), air handlers, cooling towers, commercial refrigeration, and occasional residential projects.

* Mechanically inclined individual MUST have at minimum the basic tools of your trade.
