Job Summary

Responsible for performing various functions to keep Georgia Tech's dining program commercial kitchens running smoothly. Primarily responsible for maintaining, modifying, troubleshooting, and repairing a large inventory of electric, gas and refrigeration commercial food service equipment and appliances. Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Perform preventative maintenance on food service and refrigeration equipment as well as scheduled predictive maintenance checks following manufacturers' recommendation and/or as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Duty 2 -
Carry out installations of new equipment.

Job Duty 3 -
Perform repairs and maintenance duties on a wide variety of food service and refrigeration equipment such as walk-in freezers, industrial-sized steam cookers, refrigerators, ice machines, dishwashers, fryers, stoves, ovens, and grills.

Job Duty 4 -
Carry out periodic inspection, cleaning, and equipment servicing.

Job Duty 5 -
Interpret equipment manuals for proper training, care, and maintenance of equipment.

Job Duty 6 -
Attend quickly to emergency calls on equipment repair issues, as well as to after-hour work calls.

Job Duty 7 -
Perform other related duties as assigned.



Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
High School Diploma/GED or Vocational School Diploma.

Required Experience
Three to four years of job-related experience.

The Global Tech Strategy & Engagements manager serves as the strategic architect of AGS Tech's global portfolio strategy and thought partner to the AGS Tech Leader on enterprise-wide business and investment decisions.
This customer-focused, proactive leader will be responsible for directing forward-looking execution of business priorities — working directly with the AGS Tech Leader to make the organization faster, smarter, and more aligned. That means turning portfolio strategy into real outcomes by working through people, setting up the conditions for good decisions, and keeping leaders across AGS Tech moving in the same direction. This is a senior leadership role that calls for someone who is genuinely invested in helping others succeed and understands that how an organization operates, communicates, and builds trust directly affects business results. Under moderate supervision, performs a range of diagnostic imaging procedures across Angiography, Interventional Radiology, and Diagnostic Radiology. Partners with physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions while ensuring patients and families are clearly informed about procedures and special requirements. Currently an X-Ray Tech? We will train you — this role is open to qualified X-Ray Techs ready to take the next step.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Certified Surgical Tech, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will contribute to the company’s mission and vision by assisting with the provision of safe and effective nursing care in accordance with a defined scope of practice within the operating room. This may include: direct patient care and observation, scrubbing and assisting the surgeon at the operative field, surgical room turnover between cases, collection and recording of pertinent clinical data in the medical record and consistent collaboration with the Registered Nurse in clinical decision making.

  • The ability to troubleshoot and debug complex systems, and to solve problems that arise on the border between cinematics and gameplay;

Collaborate with healthcare professionals including anesthesiologists and nurses to deliver high-quality patient care throughout the surgical process.

  • Positioning the patient for surgery and aiding with draping

  • Clearing the area where the surgeon will operate and holding open incisions by using tissue retractors, sponges, or operating
    suction or irrigation equipment

  • Selecting and passing instruments and supplies during an operation

  • Stopping bleeding by sponging, clamping, tying, or cauterizing vessels, or suturing tissue layers as directed by the surgeon

  • Applying dressings to surgical wounds

  • Counting sponges, needles, and other materials before and after the operation

  • Closing the incision at the end of the procedure

  • Follow facility protocol and policy as well as other state and federal laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required and completion of an accredited surgical first assistant program. Associates degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as Surgical Tech. Preferred experience as a CSFA or SA-C in diverse surgical specialties and proficiency with robotic and minimally invasive surgical
techniques.

Certifications: Certified Surgical First Assistant (CFSA) or Surgical Assistant-Certified (SA-C) required.


BLS - Basic Life Support required.
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates superior knowledge of advanced surgical equipment and advanced surgical instrumentation.

  • Demonstrates leadership abilities.

  • Demonstrates skills in organizing and coordinating the effective use of personnel and materials.

  • Develops, organizes, and delivers continuing education topics.

  • Applies knowledge related to emergency situations.

  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills in relation to anticipating the needs of the patient and the surgeon.

  • Performs instrument counts prior to each procedure and maintains an accurate count of sponges, needles, and instruments during the procedure.

  • Secures and prepares all supplies and instruments required for surgical intervention before procedures.

  • Ensures the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field in the OR.

  • Prepares patient skin for surgical treatment.

  • Position and re-position patient during surgery.

  • Helps monitor patients during surgery.

  • Provide supportive care during the pre-operative phase.

  • Performs scrub functions.

  • Ensures that specimens are correctly handled and routed to the proper source.

  • Maintains current knowledge of anatomy/physiology and medications used intraoperatively.

  • Keeps current with developments in the field through participation in seminars, workshops and

  • publications. Follows all federal, state and departmental safety procedures.

  • Demonstrates superior knowledge and expert practice in various advanced surgical procedures:

  • Neurosurgery, high risk Pediatric ENT, transplants, robotics, bariatrics, joint replacement and vascular. Specialty services require expanded knowledge of instrumentation, microscopes, navigation systems, and neuromonitoring awareness.

Qualifications:

HS Diploma or GED plus short-term training in operating room setting or graduate of surgical technician certification from an accredited school or training program required.
Current BLS required at time of hire.

Familiarity with all surgical instruments and equipment. Working knowledge of sterile and aseptic technique.
Surgical Technician Certification Required.
