Purpose Statement

• HS degree or GED
• 3 years of experience in a food-processing, pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing organization, preferably using computerized manufacturing equipment
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of qualifications in a pharmaceutical or food manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, food allergens and pest control
• Demonstrated knowledge of efficient and safe manufacturing operations to include product and associate safety, OSHA standards, product quality (success rates), cost control (minimizing downtime and waste, optimizing yield)
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

Job Description: The Runner role within the Distribution Center (\"DC\") of Ocean State Job Lot (\"OSJL\" or \"Company\") is responsible for transferring merchandise or empty containers from designated areas to the proper location, including induction points, shipping lanes, drop zones, splitting, or put-away aisles. This role will use powered equipment to move goods from the receiving docks, splitting, and palletizing to the appropriate area. The Runner role inspects merchandise to ensure all freight is correctly moved to the right location, while meeting company-established standards in safety, quality, and productivity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure freight is stable and secure with wrap or tape.
• Validate that the items have been reviewed and validated via the Cubiscan process.
• Act as a check to ensure that goods are flowing to the correct location; notify Receiving of any updates or changes.
• Haul skids to and from the receiving dock, wrapping machine area, picking drop zones, and splitting and shipping areas.
• Haul freight to proper shipping lanes, overflow areas, and category drop zones while tracking progress.
• Utilize a radio frequency (RF) scanner to scan and move goods in the system as well as a wrapping machine to shrink wrap pallets of goods.

Alphanumeric is hiring a Project Manager to support our long-standing client of 20+ years, a global organization committed to improving lives through medical and pharmaceutical advancements. This contract role is based in Zebulon, NC and offers a hybrid work schedule.

About the Role

The Project Manager (Contract) - External Warehouse PM & FTZ Overseer will support two critical operational functions at the Zebulon site:

1. End-to-end Project Management for the onboarding, setup, execution, and performance of a local External Warehouse Provider
2. Expanded oversight and operational management of the Zebulon Site Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ)

This role partners cross-functionally with Logistics, Finance, 3PL providers, and other key stakeholders to ensure compliant, efficient, and scalable operations aligned with established SOPs, Global Standards, Quality, Safety, and all applicable legal requirements.

Responsibilities

External Warehouse Project Management

• Lead end-to-end onboarding and execution of the External Warehouse provider
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones
• Provide regular status updates to internal and external stakeholders
• Design and implement flow, capacity, and inventory management processes in collaboration with Logistics and 3PL teams
• Establish new ways of working while ensuring strict adherence to SOPs, Global Standards, Quality, Safety, and regulatory requirements
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse operations and material movement

Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Oversight

• Expand oversight and execution of daily FTZ operations at the Zebulon site
• Develop, document, and maintain compliant FTZ processes and workflows
• Partner closely with Logistics, Finance, 3PL Warehouse teams, and other stakeholders
• Ensure full compliance with FTZ regulations, internal SOPs, Global Standards, and Quality and Safety expectations
• Support audits, documentation, and ongoing operational readiness related to FTZ activities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Related experience working with Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ) or free trade zone operations
• Strong project management experience in warehouse, logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing environments
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work onsite 3-4 days per week in Zebulon, NC

Preferred Skills

• Experience partnering with 3PL providers
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing environments
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on compliance and process documentation

We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee daily operations in our 3PL warehouse facility. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for supervising a team of 20–50 employees, ensuring efficient workflows, meeting customer requirements, and maintaining a safe and organized environment. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to fast-paced, high-volume operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping.
• Supervise, train, and mentor a team of 20–30 warehouse associates, drivers, and temporary staff.
• Create and manage employee schedules to support peak periods and customer demand.
• Monitor productivity and performance; provide coaching and corrective action when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, OSHA safety standards, and company policies.
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for efficient and accurate order processing.
• Track KPIs and prepare reports on productivity, accuracy, and workflow to share with leadership and clients.
• Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and Excel (pivot tables, V-lookups) to analyze data and optimize operations.
• Collaborate with clients, carriers, and internal teams to resolve issues and meet service-level agreements.
• Coordinate onboarding and training of new hires, ensuring smooth integration into the team.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work culture where employees feel valued and motivated.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of warehouse management or supervisory experience, preferably in a 3PL environment.
• Proven experience overseeing 20–30 employees in a fast-paced distribution setting.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, shipping/receiving, and warehouse safety practices.
• Proficiency with WMS, Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, V-lookups), and database reporting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage peak season demands, prioritize workloads, and support overtime as needed.
