Position Summary:

The Foreman is responsible for the field planning, coordination, and production of all roadway-related construction activities, as directed by the Superintendent. Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Foreman working in roadway construction.
  • Extensive knowledge of calculating and setting grades, as well as expertise in operating and managing roadway construction equipment and forming systems.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Certified in OSHA 10 standards.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and construction project management processes is preferred.

Position Summary:

The Paving Superintendent provides overall project support and leadership to all team members and subcontractors. This role ensures that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality, adhering to all specifications and company standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Report daily crew attendance to the Operations Coordinator.
  • Keep a copy of the project plans and specifications on hand at all times and confirm details with the Project Manager.
  • Arrive on-site 30 minutes before the scheduled start time to review the project with the Foreman and ensure all equipment is functional and in position.
  • Conduct a site walkthrough to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Complete and submit daily time sheets in Heavy Job.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with project personnel, subcontractors, and the project superintendent.
  • Oversee and ensure proper project layout from contract drawings for optimal quality and productivity.
  • Attend and facilitate Weekly Toolbox Talks, submitting reports to the Safety Department.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of all team members under supervision.
  • Ensure efficient operation of crew and trucking throughout the shift.
  • Confirm and coordinate asphalt tonnage and mix types with the plant.
  • Calculate the required number of trucks for paving and milling operations.
  • Monitor trucking activity throughout the shift and adjust truck numbers as needed by communicating with the Foreman, Dispatch, and Plant.
  • Obtain approval and signatures for all change orders, extra work, and overruns from the Project Manager and Owner.
  • Secure a Paving Release from the owner when necessary to relieve the company from uncontrollable project challenges.
  • Ensure assigned equipment is properly maintained and clean at all times.
  • Report equipment repair needs to the Shop Superintendent promptly.
  • Park all equipment safely and in an orderly fashion, following clear zone requirements and placing Type 2 barricades as needed.
  • Address team member issues by suspending employees if necessary, in consultation with the Operations Manager. All terminations are handled by Senior Management.
  • Monitor and support all Foreman responsibilities.
  • Verify subcontractor work hours and ensure sign-in/out sheets are completed legibly.
  • Conduct daily project inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and all cleanup is completed.
  • Report all accidents and incidents immediately to the supervisor and Safety Department.
  • Communicate with Quality Control and review reports to ensure data accuracy and alignment with project measurements. Track yields, density, slope, and straight edge compliance.
  • Submit daily schedule requests to Dispatch (cc Plant Manager, Operations Manager, QC Manager, and Operations Coordinator) by 10 AM for day shifts and at the end of the shift for night work.
  • Send the weekly schedule to the Operations Coordinator (cc Operations Manager and Dispatch) every Thursday by 10 AM.
  • Attend weekly Operations Meetings and prepare in advance for special project requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

  • Facilitate and implement legal advice into our business regarding food contact material compliance.
  • Respond to customer surveys and requests for regulatory information.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers to ensure newly developed or revised packaging materials meet regulatory requirements of targeted applications.
  • Proactively anticipates potential hurdles and works with sales and technical teams to resolve.
  • Keep abreast of key regulatory and consumer developments for packaging materials via workgroups, literature reviews and industry news. Determine business implications, communicate with cross functional stakeholders, and put action plans in place to address.
  • Represent APC at conferences and participation in professional association activities including industry workgroups focused on packaging and food safety.
  • Provide training and guidance on regulatory requirements for packaging specifications.
  • Manage verification testing and maintain requirements to ensure our packaging materials are safe for use as intended.
  • Lead the process to ensure that new materials entering our facilities have been evaluated for food safety and that they are safe for their intended use.
  • Manage the process for other packaging based regulatory information to include USP, Drug Master File, Sustainable Materials, End of Life Packaging Responsibilities such as EPR and PPWR, and other material certifications.

  • Reports directly to the Director of R&D and Technical Solutions who provides overall strategic direction.

Inventory & Forecasting Manager Job Duties & Responsibilities (include travel requirements)

  • Prepare monthly recap for the VP of Sales & Marketing and VP of Operations on production, inventory, and sales history, along with 1-3 month forecast updates for the demand planning worksheet.
  • Manage ongoing demand planning process with the Director of Supply Chain and Director of Business Development to maintain appropriate product mix, service area, color needs, and inventory across plants while understanding capacity constraints for all shingle and manufactured accessories. To include building and maintaining inventory floor plans on accessory items for each plant and reloading facility.
  • Work with the Director of Supply Chain to evolve the Sales-Inventory-Operations Planning (SIOP) process over time to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Work with the Director of Supply Chain on efforts to forecast opportunities and concerns across the operations and supply chain functions.
  • Manage monthly and annual forecasting efforts for finished goods products in conjunction with the Director of Supply Chain
  • Manage existing product inventory and ordering needs based on market demand and be responsive to sales needs and trends in demand.
  • Work will all plant facilities on eliminating discontinued products in a fiscally responsible manner while actively working on making sure that inventories reflected in PS/Qlik are accurate and up to date for all facilities.

  • Work with the Director of Procurement on maintaining and communicating margin/cost/price controls for all vendor accessory products through monthly reviews and profitability analysis. Experience with fabricating new wire bundles Experience with routing and installing wire bundles on airplanes without existing wiring (commercial routing experience preferred) Ability to work rotating shift (1st, 2nd or 3rd) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): Experience with Depot Level/Modification maintenance.

Operate a forklift, mobile crane, and riding type electric powered elevating equipment to accomplish work assignment.
