BW Electric is seeking a BIM Coordinator to join our organization. This position is to assist in the creation, evaluation, and distribution of 3D BIM and 2D drawings for use in estimating, purchasing, and construction operations. The BIM Coordinator will assist all project managers and field personnel to facilitate collaboration and communication throughout the project, and interact with subcontractors, vendors, and the design team during construction. In addition to working in a fast-paced environment, the BIM Coordinator will have primary responsibility for assigned projects, as CAD Operator/Project Engineer. Candidates must be able to perform essential field Coordinating tasks and have strong capabilities with AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, and BIM 360, with working knowledge of Revit, and related programs.


General Responsibilities

  • Has knowledge of and/or takes initiative to learn modeling software; including but not limited to Navisworks, Revit, and AutoCAD
  • Maintain integration of models including structure, interior, and exterior architectural elements and MEP systems
  • Coordinate with BIM service providers and/or Subcontractors
  • Update As-built and revised BIM logs and reports; maintain BIM server folders
  • Assist with uploading, maintain, and distributing documents to the field and subcontractors
  • Assist in set-up and maintain all control logs (RFI’s, shop drawings, as-built, drawing logs, etc.) and shop/fabrication-level models for approval
  • Site inspection and liaising with trade contractors
  • Participate in model coordination and model coordination meetings.
  • Compile contract BIM closeout documentation
  • Works on complex assignments independently, with attention to detail, and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues; involves others in decisions when needed.


Minimum Requirements

  • Associate degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of project Coordination experience – intern field Coordinator, entry-level field Coordinator, or equivalent.
  • Strong ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
  • Minimum 2 years consistent use, and be able to demonstrate experience in required software (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks )

 Key responsibilities include

  • Communicates with potential transplant candidates and/or referring physicians.
  • Facilitates the evaluation of both pre- and post-transplant patients by interfacing with referring physicians, Transplant hepatologists, Transplant nephrologists, Transplant surgeons, scheduling coordinators, consultants, insurance coordinators, and social workers. Primary responsibility for the planning implementation and evaluation of this process.
  • Coordinates evaluation with the patient/family and appropriate members of the hospital, the transplant team, the patient's primary care physician and cardiologist and clinical consultants.
  • Assess patients for placement on the transplant waiting list.
  • Coordinates the complex management and education of patients' pre- and post-transplants. Communicates with the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) to maintain an accurate and current patient waiting list.
  •  Participate in clinical rounds meetings, conferences consultations and educational programs designed to increase knowledge and to improve patient care and staff performance; serve as a consultant to physicians and staff members regarding services in the specialty area

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing required. 
  • Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross)
  • 3-4 years professional nursing experience required
  • Previous transplant, hepatology, outpatient or dialysis experience preferred

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit. In partnership with the management team, the CNC monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies. The CNC serves as a resource for staff and supports an unparalleled patient experience.

Summary:

The Registered Nurse Clinical Care Coordinator is responsible for establishing, coordinating, and maintaining the process to increase patient throughput to the most appropriate level of care while facilitating interdisciplinary care across the continuum for the ED. The RN Clinical Care Coordinator collaborates with the patient and/or family, multidisciplinary team, physicians, community partners, and payers to ensure the patient’s progress and level of care are appropriately determined and evaluates or screens patients entering the CHRISTUS Health System for medical necessity. The RN Clinical Care Coordinator will collaborate with relevant providers and partners to determine the appropriate patient class and level of care of patients entering the CHRISTUS Health system to ensure the appropriate utilization of resources and maximize appropriate reimbursement opportunities. The RN Clinical Care Coordinator will utilize problem-solving and customer service skills to determine the best course of action for the patient, the physician, and the hospital by working closely with facility House Supervisors, referring physicians, ED, and inpatient staff to ensure the effective and efficient admission/placement of every patient. This job requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of CHRISTUS Health. It is expected that the associate demonstrates behavior consistent with the Core Values. The associate shall support CHRISTUS Health’s strategic plan and the goals and direction of their Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).

Responsibilities:

  • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Reviews clinical information for patients upon entry into the health system to determine appropriate placement and patient class to maximize appropriate hospital reimbursement and positively manage length of stay.
  • Coordinates with onsite partner providers (LTACH, Inpt Rehab) to review requests for facility services and ensure appropriate use of outpatient hospital resources for (their patients) including scheduling coordination and appropriate escort by sending provider.
  • Review all ED patients identified by the treating physician as requiring admission to the hospital to ensure appropriate patient class and resource utilization.
  • Educates hospital and ED providers on levels of care, resource utilization, payor practices, and documentation. Escalates to Physician Advisor or CMO when discrepancies are present.
  • Performs the initial clinical medical necessity review utilizing evidence-based criteria and enters into the medical record for the receiving CM team.
  • Utilizes high risk screening criteria to make appropriate community and post-ED referrals.
  • Initiates prior authorization process when indicated for post-ED referrals and services.
  • Escalates to physician advisor when unable to resolve discrepancies with the attending physician.
  • Manages high-use patients and works to find alternatives for care to frequent ED visits.
  • Plans for discharges from the ED for patients who do not require admission to include arranging for Home Health, DME, placement, and community resources as they relate to social determinants of health.
  • Provides patient and family education and counseling about existing health problem related care.
  • Anticipates barriers/variances to the delivery of care and intervenes as necessary.
  • Intervenes with physicians and ancillary departments concerning clinical and utilization issues to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Coordinates and facilitates patient progression throughout the continuum.
  • Collaborates with all members of the interdisciplinary team to facilitate appropriate care coordination and care delivery.

Nurse coordinators should have general knowledge of medical software applications and business-oriented office software applications, and they must be able to work independently and troubleshoot problems in effective ways consistent with the standards of the American Health Association. They should also be able to multi-task and work well under pressure, and prior experience in patient management, employee-scheduling, and coordinating with doctors for treatment of patients is essential for nurse coordinators. Candidates for this position must keep all certifications up-to-date and in compliance with all laws pertaining to medicine.
