3.Follows aseptic technique.
Proactively identifies contamination and/or breaks in aseptic technique and implements corrective actions.

5.Labels drugs and solutions; monitors quantities used.
6.Assists in the proper identification, preparation, handling, and labeling of surgical specimens.

8.Assists the surgeon, demonstrating an understanding of the patient's anatomy and abnormalities which affect the surgical procedure.

Responds to surgical emergencies and follows hospitalwide emergency management plans.
11.Inventories, receives, and stores supplies under the direction of Surgical Services leadership.

Assists with restocking operating/procedure rooms and sub-sterile areas.
13.Assists the registered nurse during the intraoperative implementation phase of nursing practice.

As a free-standing surgical facility, the UNC Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) provides surgical care to both pediatric and adult patients.
The ASC supports the following services: Orthopedics (Sports), ENT/OHN, plastics, general laparoscopic, general oncology, peds urology, urology and dental.
The ability to scrub is preferred, but not a requirement.
It is preferred that candidates have either sports Ortho or ENT as one of their proficient areas.
This Surgical Tech position will support the Cystology Procedure Suite where they will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic cystoscopic and minor urologic procedures.
This position will provide patient care during the procedure, clinical assistance to physicians, patient education, and coordination of care to ensure safety, comfort, and high-quality outcomes.
The schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday 7am
- 5:30pm (4 10-hour shifts/week) with one self assigned late shift per week.
No weekends, no call, no holidays.

The CVOR Surgical Technologist is an integral member of the surgical team, responsible for maintaining a sterile field, anticipating surgeon needs, and assisting with instruments, supplies, and equipment throughout cardiovascular procedures.
Surgical technologists collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care in the operative setting.

Our CVOR schedule is Monday through Friday, 0600–1630 , with call requirements for evenings, nights, and weekends.
Experience: Minimum 1 year as a Surgical Technologist required CVOR experience strongly preferred, including cardiac (CABG, valves, TAVR, ECMO, Impella) and vascular procedures (EVAR, TCAR) Summary: The Surgical Technologist II – CVOR to provides support for surgical and interventional cardiac and/or vascular cases, facilitating the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
Surgical technologists possess expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique and combine the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician's performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
Performs surgical scrub duties across multiple services.
Serves as a resource in at least one service line.
Call is required to ensure emergent patient needs are met.
Responsibilities: 1.Performs technical skill duties in all operating room specialty service areas, ensuring that proper technical practices are employed according to accepted standards of process.
2.Provides proper maintenance, assembly, handling, and sterilization techniques of specialty instrumentation.
3.Follows aseptic technique.
Proactively identifies contamination and/or breaks in aseptic technique and implements corrective actions.
4.Performs surgical counts.
Follows policies and procedures for incorrect counts and reports discrepancies appropriately.
5.Establishes and maintains sterile field and assures team maintains sterile environment independently.
Labels drugs and solutions; monitors quantities used.
6.Assists in the proper identification, preparation, handling, and labeling of surgical specimens.
7.Actively participates in the planning and set up of instruments, supplies, and surgical drapes in an organized manner to provide optimal accessibility during the procedure.
8.Assists the surgeon, demonstrating an understanding of the patient's anatomy and abnormalities which affect the surgical procedure.
9.Assists team members to place and position patient on table.
10.Reviews Physician preference lists, checks supplies, and instruments required for each surgical procedure.
Demonstrates appropriate and correct case preparation.
Assists in picking cases and planning of instrument needs.
Corrects deficiencies at the case level.
11.Recognizes and modifies scrubbing procedures based on pertinent information to develop modifications to standard approaches to care and communicates with the surgical team.
Responds to surgical emergencies and follows hospital wide emergency management plans.

Inventories, receives, and stores supplies under the direction of Surgical Services leadership.

Serves as role model for new hires, on the job trainees, and other identified teammates.
Serves as a mentor for Surgical Tech peers and participates in teaching, guiding, and evaluating the performance of peers during orientation and annual review process.

Identifies and reports defective instruments, supplies, and equipment.
Assists with restocking operating/procedure rooms and sub-sterile areas.

Assists the registered nurse during the intraoperative implementation phase of nursing practice.

Participates in data collection for research projects under the direction of an RN.

Operates complex equipment and other resources in the operating room, troubleshooting as necessary.

Perform daily cleaning, stocking, verification of all emergency carts are stocked and trays are updated.

Vascular- Knowledge of various vascular standard OR cases, and Hybrid vascular cases inlcuding EVAR and TCAR.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements: ● Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintain ace instructions, and policy and procedure manuals.

This position has been designated as onsite in the Carlsbad, New Mexico and surrounding area.
What you will do:
- Coordinates with team leader/project manager and customer to precisely understand requirements for all on-site installation and repairs by forecasting issues, gathering materials and synchronizing on-site work.
- Represents the company by serving as the direct customer contact and is responsible for products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at customer's location.
- Uses cutting edge software and technology, along with a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.

Job Summary: Plan, organize, and direct the design engineering staff to develop specialized structures for North American Class 1 and Transit applications. Lead the development and standardization of the design engineering processes for the production and assembly of products across seven facilities within the US. Responsible for implementing and championing new methodologies to improve the consistency and timeliness of the design engineering activities, as well as streamline and clarify projects to reduce completion time.
Job Duties:
- Manage engineering personnel (including direct reports) to ensure projects are completed and released according to specifications and schedules
- Champion the continuous improvement efforts of design engineering
- Identify opportunities to improve or mitigate risk through data driven process approach
- Develop designs with consideration of interested parties, manufacturability, and cost implications
- Create training programs to develop new hires, expand roles of existing employees, and empower the Design team as a whole
- Communicate with Customers and outside agencies to prioritize submittals and approvals
- Forecast team workload and schedules, develop strategies to address resources constraints; promote teamwork and shared workload

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Engineering (PE desirable) or bachelor’s degree with equivalent required experience
- Familiarity with international standards and regulations (FRA, AAR, EN, AS/RISSB) preferred
- Experience in structural steel design, metallurgy, steel machining, and processing
- Demonstrated experience in leading product development and design processes
- Knowledge of ISO (AREMA & AAR a plus) standards and specifications related to product design and application, product development, engineering principles, and testing, to include theory, design and manufacture, project management, and data analysis
- Proven experience with design software including various 2D and 3D modeling and drawing platforms (AutoDesk-AutoCAD, Inventor, Visual Basic, LISP)
- Experience with ASME Y14.5, AIAG Core Tools (DFMEA) and Root Cause are a plus
- Strong proficiency with MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Blueprint reading
