We are seeking an EP Registered Nurse for our Electrophysiology Lab. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a procedural environment. Requirements:

Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.

Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.

Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.

Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position The Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist performs phlebotomy and specimen collection. They use Lab Information System (LIS) and Hospital Information System (HIS) to conduct functions related to phlebotomy, patient registration, order entry, result look-up and report generation. They process specimens for diagnostic testing and referral testing and sort specimen drop-offs according to insurance. They ensure accurate registration of specimens as needed. • .875 FTE (35 hours per week)
• Call one night per week and every 4th weekend

• Provides direct patient care activities in the Cath Lab & other applicable procedural areas implementing an outcome-based plan of care
• Conducts an initial assessment and ongoing assessments
• Performs indirect patient care activities to maintain department standards
• Based on principles of growth and development, provides care appropriate to the age-related needs of the patients served on his/her assigned unit
• Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures
• Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior

• Knowledge of cardiac medications, hemodynamic monitoring and fundamentals of sterile technique.
