We are seeking a Board-Certified Internal Medicine or Family Practice Physician for an exciting locum tenens Hospitalist opportunity near Beaumont, TX. This role offers the chance to practice in a supportive, community-focused hospital setting within the lush landscapes of East Texas.
Position Highlights- Shift Details:
- 12-hour in-house day shifts: 8 AM 8 PM.
- In-house call coverage: 8 PM 8 AM (must be within 30 minutes of the facility).
- Coverage Requirements:
- 7 shifts per rotation (flexible schedule available).
- Includes weekend and on-call responsibilities.
- 49 total beds with 7 ED beds.
- No ICU coverage required.
- ED annual volume: 7,452 patients.
- Average patient load: 1-8 per shift.
- Hospitalists are expected to intubate with assistance from the ED physician.
- Admission rate: 10%.
- Active Texas medical license and DEA.
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
- ACLS, PALS, and DEA certification.
- Ability to perform intubations.
- Clean malpractice and background record.
- The hospital is located a short drive from Beaumont, TX, and is easily accessible from surrounding metropolitan areas.
