- Processes QC specimens to be evaluated. Conducts quality audits, performs, evaluates, interprets, and documents operational checks of equipment within established guidelines.

Experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon with proven leadership and team building skills to work collaboratively with a highly regarded community-based practice.
The selected candidate will be Board Certified, with 5-7 years of experience in either an employed or private practice setting, experience with complex aortic disease, aortic valve repair and replacement to include complex open and endovascular aortic procedures, cardiothoracic surgery with particular focus on catheter and minimally invasive treatment of heart valve disease and heart failure.
The existing cardiovascular community practice consists of two accomplished Cardiovascular Surgeons with over 40 years combined clinical experience.
Work with an experienced team of providers another cardiothoracic surgeon and 3 APPs experienced in endo vein harvesting CVICU, two heart surgery rooms, strong perfusion, dedicated hybrid-OR, and dedicated EP and Cath services Three cardiac anesthesiologists with dedicated service Practice currently performs coronary revascularization, valve repair and replacements as well as broad based thoracic surgery.
Several advanced cardiothoracic surgical programs, including TAVR, minimally invasive cardiac and robotic thoracic surgery, as well as aortic surgery and ECMO.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: Experience and comfort level with aortic disease, valve repair and replacement to include open and endovascular aortic procedures Experience with TAVR Minimally invasive lung surgery Knowledge and experience with advanced technologies to reduce the invasiveness of thoracic and cardiovascular procedure The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within the team of our growing program.

This individual will oversee established services in coronary, valve, and aortic surgery, as well as specialized programs in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, CTEPH, adult congenital heart surgery, and surgical electrophysiology. Ideal Experience
Extensive experience in Adult Cardiac Surgery, including:
- Coronary artery surgery for advanced coronary disease

- Aortic surgery, including aneurysm and dissection repair with open and endovascular approaches
- Surgical electrophysiology for complex arrhythmia management
- Treatment of chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) and other advanced pulmonary vascular conditions
- Deep understanding of perioperative care for high-risk cardiac patients
Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited institution

Division 7500/75PCU is a fast paced Cardiovascular Surgery division made up of 25 beds with a mix of step down and pcu beds. We care for a variety of complex cardiovascular surgery patients including aortic and abdominal aneurysms, thoracic outlet syndrome, carotid artery disease, aorto-iliac and lower extremity occlusive disease, peripheral vascular disease, arrhythmia surgery, endoscopic coronary artery revascularization, valve repair and many more. The Staff Nurse (RN) is an integral part of the patient care team using critical thinking skills and clinical expertise to continually assess the patients'; status. The Staff Nurse (RN) is trained in critical care and will be certified in BLS, ACLS, ACUTE CARE, arterial line monitoring, and pacer wires.

As our Cath Lab/EP Technologist, you will join our very experienced team of advanced registry certified SPT's as well as a Team of physicians who will rely on you to add to their procedure with your knowledge and skills. Our SPT's either Pan at the end of the procedural table or Scrub-assist procedures. You will also help in our pre/post recovery area; learning to prep patients, start peripheral IV lines and chart on our patients. We also send a team to work in the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) program to assist in the Hybrid Surgical Suite weekly.
We are very excited about our new Cardiovascular Center that opened December of 2021. This state-of-the-art area that is home to 2 brand new Philips Cath labs that does advanced exams such as TAVR's, MitraClips and WATCHMANS. POSITION SUMMARY
This position performs prescribed specialized radiographic procedures as directed by following department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. The incumbent ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Performs radiographic diagnostic/interventional special procedures by following and verifying referring providers' orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.
2. Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed. Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all interactions; fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes.
3. Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.
4. Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures if applicable in accordance with established policies. Demonstrates competence in the administration of radiopharmaceuticals and other approved medications.
5. Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Demonstrates the ability to trouble shoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance. Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors. Adheres to radiation safety policies.
6. Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information.
7. Assures the efficient operation of workflow of the department. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services.
8. Independently performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols to patients. Internal customers: All levels of medical imaging and nursing management and staff, medical staff, and all other members of the interdisciplinary health care team. External Customers: regulatory and health agencies, patients and family members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Recent graduate or less than 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology (EP) or equivalent experience, working routine diagnostics and basic interventions. Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program. Requires ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology (RT) as required by state law. Licensure and/or certification(s) as required by state regulatory agency, if applicable.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Basic knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology. Basic understanding of Cath Lab procedures and protocols.
Must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, ability to analyze data and solve problems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
