Field Service Engineer
Job Description
We’re looking for a Field Service Engineer who thrives in dynamic environments and takes pride in ensuring complex systems perform safely, efficiently, and exactly to spec.
What You’ll Do
• Execute on-site start-up, commissioning, and performance optimization of advanced electrical and mechanical systems
• Conduct detailed equipment inspections to verify proper installation and operational readiness
• Analyze performance data during system trials to ensure equipment meets or exceeds standards
• Deliver hands-on and classroom training to customer personnel with clear, structured lesson plans
• Provide technical support for preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting issues in the field
• Review specifications and provide field markups to support engineering “as-built” revisions
• Coordinate and oversee on-site vendors, contractors, and project activities to maintain schedule and quality
• Perform site inspections, diagnose operational challenges, and uphold high-quality standards
• Prepare and present clear technical reports, documenting performance, findings, and project milestones
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (equivalent experience considered)
• 5+ years of field service experience with mechanical, electrical, and high‑speed rotating equipment
• Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, as well as O&M manuals
• Proficiency with control panels, motor starters, AC/DC drives, and instrumentation
• Experience with programmable controllers and operator interface terminals (highly desirable)
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage projects, build customer rapport, and problem‑solve in real time
• Willingness to travel extensively—up to 75%, including long‑term domestic and international assignments
