Job Summary

This role is responsible for extracting meaningful information and providing the business with actionable recommendations to drive outcomes. Responsible for leveraging existing data sources and creating new analysis methods.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

• Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Lead client teams to define clear business requirements for data analysis projects.
• Provide metrics definition, data visualizations, and ETL requirements.
• Extract, clean and engineer data to be ready for analysis.
• Interpret data, formulate hypotheses and develop an analytical approach to meet business requirements
• Create customer-readable reports using advanced visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Excel, etc.
• Work to obtain and ingest new reference data sources required to deliver on business need.
• Communicate results and make recommendations using data visualization and presentations.
• Create analyses and dashboards that are usable, elegant and industry leading.

• Build and maintain data pipelines that collect, store, and transform data to support analytics use cases and business outcomes.
  
• Implement data ingestion and transformation workflows in Microsoft Fabric, using Fabric-native capabilities such as notebooks, pipelines, and lakehouse patterns.
  
• Develop and operationalize data solutions across lakehouse layers (e.g., landing and standardized "Bronze" data through curated "Silver/Gold" outputs) aligned to the platform's workspace architecture and OneLake design.

This role is highly operational and service-oriented, with a strong focus on execution and communication. The Director ensures technology supports growth, improves productivity, maintains strong internal controls, and enhances the day-to-day experience for all field and office employees.

POSITION FUNCTIONS

Leadership and Organization

• Provide strategic and operational leadership to the IT and Data Analytics functions, fostering a cohesive, collaborative, and service-driven culture.
• Lead and develop managers across multiple functions within the department, aligning priorities and breaking down silos.

Project and Change Management

• Lead or oversee technology and data initiatives from concept through execution working closely with leaders within Service Electric Company and Quanta Services.

Public Company Standards and Compliance

• Ensure IT systems and processes support SOX compliance and strong internal controls.
• Partner closely with Finance, Internal Audit, and external auditors.
• Document, test, and continuously improve IT controls and processes.
• Maintain appropriate security, access controls, and segregation of duties.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including managing supervisory employees, required.
• Experience in a public company environment, with direct exposure to SOX and internal controls, required.
• Proven ability to lead operationally focused IT organizations, required.
• Strong background overseeing enterprise systems, infrastructure, and analytics, required.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional projects and driving change, required.
• Experience in construction, engineering, or industrial services, preferred.
• Exposure to ERP systems and field workforce technologies, preferred.
• Formal project management experience or certification, preferred.
• Experience scaling IT organizations in growing companies, preferred.

You will guide project teams, manage risks, and drive visibility for leadership while proactively ensuring all dependencies and requirements are clearly defined and executed. The position plays a key role in enabling efficiency across systems including Oracle Fusion, Salesforce, ADP, JDEdwards, and related applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and execute detailed project plans for customer data management initiatives and technical enhancement projects

• Lead daily standups and team check ins to track progress and maintain accountability

• Track and report project status, milestones, and risks to leadership and project stakeholders

• Proactively identify and manage risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and critical escalations

• Serve as the primary liaison between development teams, project managers, and business partners to ensure priorities remain aligned

• Drive the technical development intake process by maintaining and prioritizing the backlog with stakeholders

• Collaborate with cross functional teams including Product, Design, and QA to align timelines and deliverables

• Own test management and implementation planning for major system enhancements, integrations, or go live activities

Key Requirements

• 5 or more years of experience in project management within technology, data management, or enterprise applications

• Strong technical understanding of databases, data analytics, integration technologies, and data management concepts

• Experience with enterprise applications including Oracle Fusion, Salesforce, ADP, JDEdwards, and EPay

• Familiarity with integration platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Boomi
