SUMMARY:
The Inventory Manager is a hands-on operational support role focused exclusively on maintaining inventory accuracy and integrity for a Fortune 500 corporation. The role exists to support warehouse operations by ensuring every part is in the correct location, in the correct quantity, and ready for kitting or picking. The primary objective is to prevent “Not In Location” (NIL) events that cause production downtime. We need employees who are highly promotable and self-sustaining.
We are seeking an experienced inventory manager to lead inventory control operations within a fast-paced distribution environment, managing approximately $18 million in on-hand inventory. This role is responsible for improving and sustaining inventory accuracy to 99.7%.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and own the site’s cycle count process across ad hoc and structured count programs
- Ensure urgent inventory discrepancies are investigated, counted, and resolved within tight turnaround windows
- Perform root cause analysis on variances and implement corrective actions to prevent repeat issues
- Drive transactional integrity by identifying and correcting scanning failures, unrecorded inventory moves, and supplier-related discrepancies
- Partner with operations leadership to improve inventory processes, controls, and overall accuracy
- Support daily warehouse functions, including inbound receiving, put-away, replenishment, kitting, picking, and pre-shipment audit activity
- Supervise and develop hourly inventory team members, along with inventory/data support personnel
- Address performance issues, resolve floor-level conflict, and maintain accountability in a demanding operational setting

In the event of neurological deterioration and/or cardiac cessation, provides education to the potential donor family to include signs and symptoms of brain death, the process of diagnosing brain death, or cardiac cessation and withdrawal of support. As appropriate, discusses organ Family Care Coordinator and tissue donation opportunities with the potential donor family with the goal being to obtain authorization for donation.
- In the event the potential donor stabilizes and is no longer considered a potential organ donor, establishes an appropriate support system in collaboration with the health care staff, brings closure to the relationship with the family and returns if needed or requested.

Subject Matter Expertise
- Acts as a senior subject matter expert for assigned Keyfactor products, including Command and/or EJBCA.
- Provides expert-level guidance on PKI, cryptographic concepts, compliance considerations, and secure deployment practices.
- Applies broad domain knowledge to diagnose complex, non-routine issues across infrastructure, application, and security layers.
- Contributes technical insight related to emerging risks, architectural considerations, and support readiness.
Knowledge Sharing & Enablement
- Mentors and provides technical guidance to support engineers across all tiers.
- Identifies knowledge gaps through case analysis and operational data and contributes to targeted training and documentation.
- Develops and maintains technical documentation, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with internal standards and industry best practices.
- Promotes consistent knowledge sharing to improve overall team capability and reduce recurring issues.
Systemic Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Identifies recurring issues and systemic deficiencies and leads efforts to implement long-term corrective actions.
- Partners with Product, Engineering, and Support leadership to address root causes and improve product and support processes.
- Provides technical input that informs product quality, platform stability, and support scalability.
- Represents customer impact and operational risk during cross-functional discussions and incident reviews.
Customer & Incident Management
- Manages high-profile customer escalations and outages with professionalism, technical rigor, and clear communication.
- Communicates complex technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintains accountability for case progression, resolution quality, and documentation accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Skills
- 3+ or more years of advanced technical support experience or demonstrated equivalent expertise in PKI or related security technologies.
- Demonstrated depth of expertise in one or more technical domains required to support Keyfactor products.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux, including IIS, ADFS, WAP, and Active Directory.
- Strong expertise in PKI, ADCS, certificate lifecycle management, and cryptographic principles.
- Proficient in SQL database analysis, including complex queries and table structure evaluation.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including firewalls, load balancers, and proxy configurations.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
- Expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and professionally.
- Maintains a high standard of customer focus and operational accountability.
- Capable of identifying root causes of complex issues and articulating clear, actionable resolutions.

Job Overview
The Sr. R&D Engineer - CAPA Specialist is a senior individual contributor responsible for leading complex, design and/or R&D controlled QMS process related Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) investigations within the Research & Development organization. This role drives robust root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action development, and effectiveness verification to ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in design and development processes.
Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this position serves as a technical authority and trusted advisor to R&D teams, providing guidance on structured problem-solving, CAPA best practices, and regulatory expectations. While the role does not include people management responsibilities, it plays a critical mentoring and coaching role within the R&D CAPA ecosystem.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Lead and execute product design and or Design Controls process related CAPA investigations within the R&D organization, from problem definition through implementation and effectiveness verification.
- Perform thorough and structured root cause analyses for design, verification, validation, and product performance issues using appropriate analytical tools and data.
- Develop and drive robust corrective and preventive actions that are risk-based, technically sound, and aligned with design controls and risk management processes.
- Ensure CAPA documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with FDA regulations, ISO 13485, and internal quality system requirements.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners-including Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, and Manufacturing Engineering-to address systemic and cross-functional issues.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and informal mentorship to R&D engineers and associates on CAPA processes, problem-solving methodologies, and regulatory expectations.
- Support CAPA owners in developing realistic timelines, following CAPA SOPs, and defining appropriate effectiveness verification plans and acceptance criteria.
- Support internal and external audits and inspections by providing CAPA documentation, investigation rationale, and technical explanations.
- Maintain clear traceability between CAPA investigations, corrective actions, effectiveness checks, and related design and risk documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve CAPA execution quality and efficiency and contribute to broader quality system and R&D process improvements.
- Serve as a technical CAPA subject matter expert within the R&D organization.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in R&D engineering within a medical device organization.
- Demonstrated experience managing and executing CAPA activities within product design and development.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including FDA regulations and ISO 13485.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Expert-level knowledge of CAPA methodologies and root cause analysis tools (e.g., Fishbone, 5 Whys, FMEA) and risk management practices.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to provide clear technical guidance and support to junior engineers without direct supervisory responsibility.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for presenting findings across all organizational levels.
- Experience creating statistically sound sampling plans and acceptance criteria for effectiveness verification.
- Proficiency with CAPA and documentation systems; TrackWise experience preferred.
- Indepth knowledge of medical device regulations, design control processes, and quality system expectations.
Salary Range: $115k - $140k
