Principle Duties And Responsibilities: Assists physicians and RN with endoscopic procedures.
Assists with pre/ intra / post endoscopic care of the patient including monitoring vital signs as necessary and as directed by the RN.
Makes beds, cleans rooms, and serves as a runner for equipment during procedures and for transport of patients as necessary.
Properly positions patient pre and intra procedure.
Selects correct Endo Product and performs quality control check preprocedural to include air, water and white balancing.
Enters patient and procedure information into endoscopy report writing software preprocedural and intra procedure as necessary.
Handles and manages procedure accessory equipment to include, but not limited to endoscopic forceps, polyp snares, endoscopic clips, retrieval nets/ graspers, heater probes and specimen collection containers.
Supports airway via head positioning and performs oropharyngeal suctioning.
Provides abdominal pressure as guided by provider.
Collects specimen and labels specimens with accuracy.
Performs immediate post procedure endoProduct precleaning.
Knows how to set up for, assemble / disassemble accessories for numerous technical procedures.
Troubleshoots problems with Endo Products and necessary support equipment including suction, CO2 pumps and water pumps.
Assembles and disassembles endoscopic instruments, accessories and related equipment.
Cleans and processes equipment after procedures, including testing for leaks and other troubleshooting.
Performs high level disinfection of Endo Products and accessories.
Assists with other duties or projects as assigned.
Education: High School graduate or G.E.D.
equivalent.
Preferred Education: Graduation from an Accredited (CAAHEP/ABHES) Medical Assistant Program, Surgical Technician, or Emergency Medical Tech training, preferred.

Job Description:An MRI Tech I is responsible for performing complex MRI exams on varying strength magnets using powerful magnetic fields combined with radiofrequency waves. The MRI Technologist must adapt to changes in technology, new imaging techniques, safe and effective imaging practices for patients with and without medical implants. These implants include pacemakers, nerve stimulation devices and electronic pumps that can cause severe injury and or death within the MRI environment. This position requires independent judgement, a comprehensive knowledge of MRI physics, biological effects to human tissue, medical implants and the ability to enforce MRI safety. The candidate must possess inherent compassion for patients with claustrophobia and provide mechanisms to assist the patient in overcoming their discomfort. The Technologist operates under the general supervision of the Radiologist and the MRI Supervisor.Education:
Graduate from school of Radiologic Technology approved by CAHEA/JRCT. Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), ARMRIT, or certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), ARRT MRI Certification preferred.Experience:
Two years of Radiology imaging experience, cross sectional imaging and/or computer assisted imaging preferred. Knowledge/Special Skills:
For staff holding an ARRT license (not in MRI), Advanced MRI specific certification by ARRT is required within 2 years of hire within the MRI department. CE compliant according to governing body guidelines. BLS certified. Technical knowledge and expertise in cross sectional anatomy beneficial, not required.

Job Summary:
The Monitor Technician functions under the direction of the Nurse Manager to facilitate safe, age appropriate and culturally aware patient care by observing cardiac monitors to ensure recognition of arrhythmias. Cardiac monitor technicians are responsible for watching patients' heart rates and /or pulse oximetry and reporting important changes to the nursing staff; they often use equipment that tracks several patients simultaneously. Carilion Clinic Department of Anesthesia and Virginia Tech Carilion (VTC) School of Medicine are accepting applications for a highly skilled Fellowship Trained Obstetric Care Anesthesiologist.
This is an exciting time to join our team as we develop a new Anesthesia Residency Program targeted to begin in Summer 2026.
Clinical responsibilities include patient care in the Anesthesia Department at Carilion Medical Center (CMC), an 835-bed tertiary academic health center. CMC is one of the largest and busiest Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma centers in the region with 49 anesthetizing locations and NORA rooms. CMC is the only regional perinatal health care center in Southwest Virginia and performs over 2000 vaginal and 1000 cesarean deliveries annually. The Birthplace has 12 labor rooms and 2 dedicated obstetric operating rooms located in the unit. Inpatient obstetric coverage is provided by an experienced team of Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians.
The position includes an academic appointment at Virginia Tech in the tenure track at the rank of Clinical Assistant, Associate, or Professor based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in obstetric anesthesia, a passion for teaching and research, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a high-risk obstetric setting. Research interest with Fralin Biomedical Research Institute-VT is supported.

- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized anesthetic plans for pregnant patients
- Administer epidurals, spinal blocks, and other regional anesthetics to manage pain during labor
- Monitor patients' vital signs and anesthesia levels during the delivery process
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and consultations to evaluate medical history and determine the appropriate anesthetic technique
- Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows in anesthesiology during clinical rotations and academic lectures; research opportunities in interested
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- ABA Board certification or Board eligibility
- Completion of ACGME accredited Obstetric Care Fellowship
- Strong knowledge of obstetric anesthesia techniques and medications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up to date with the latest advancements in Obstetric Anesthesiology
