Overview:
The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating and assessing needs of patients and formulating treatment plans. Provides therapy services defined in treatment plans, and works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and staff. In addition, the Physical Therapist provides direction to Physical Therapy Assistants and Aides.
Qualifications:
- Education: Advanced graduate degree required from an accredited academic program in Physical Therapy
- Licensure: Physical Therapist Missouri license
- Experience: Previous successful Physical Therapy delivery is preferred.
- Certifications: BLS Basic Life Support Within 3 Months Of Hire
- Other: Excellent interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills are required.

Overview:
Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Position Title: Specialty Nurse – Med Surg - Advanced RN (IA)
Department: Nursing Clinical Support Staff
Schedule:
- 1900-0730, 3 -12 hr shifts per week
- Every other weekend
- Holiday rotation
General Duties:
The Advanced RN will work in the float pool to provide support to nursing units in which they have competencies to independently deliver nursing care to patients.
- Assesses plans
- Implements and evaluates patients’ care and condition based upon observation, examination and other pertinent information
- Completes assessment in specified time frame
- Identifies and consistently recognizes changes in normal and abnormal parameters in the patient's physiological, psychological, cultural, developmental, and spiritual needs
- Implements nursing interventions to achieve progress toward expected patient outcomes or to stabilize a patient's condition and/or prevent complications
- Evaluates and documents patients' response to nursing care and modifies or revises treatment plans, and/or contacts physicians as circumstances require Participates in interdisciplinary patient care planning and evaluates patient progression in preparation for safe discharge

- Special Training: ACLS; Basic Life Support; Minimum of 2 years experience in nursing
