Success Profile:
The Senior Technical Designer for Dresses is responsible for ensuring that design vision is translated into a well-constructed and manufacturable garment that reflects brand’s esthetics and design integrity. Key Accountabilities:
- Manage product lifecycle from Showroom sample through pre-production fit approval.
- Oversee pre-production samples development, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Develop comprehensive technical packages, to final full graded specifications. Determine necessary corrections, utilize garment patterns effectively to achieve the desired fit, silhouette, and style.
- Lead live fit sessions to evaluate and refine fit, construction, and quality. Execute fit comments in a timely manner to ensure the fit process remains aligned with production timelines and objectives. Provide grading guidelines to vendors after fit approval, ensure that grading is executed accurately to preserve the integrity of the design and fit across all sizes.
- Partner successfully with Product Development, Design and Production teams to ensure fit and product development process stays in line with production and action timelines. Create and manages WIP report for development tracking and garment delivery
Education and Experience:
- 7+ years of Technical Design experience
- College degree, or equivalent professional work experience, required

Marine Layer is seeking a Sr. Manager to shape the creative vision and strategic framework for window design across our fleet of 50+ stores. This newly created role will report directly to the Creative Director and serve as a primary thought partner to our Visual Merchandising team. This role will serve as a key bridge between seasonal brand storytelling and the physical expression of that story in our retail windows.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead merchandising strategy and direction for the Fall 2026 collection• Analyze past sales to identify winning categories, silhouettes, and price points• Build a balanced collection across dresses, suits, sportswear, and special occasion pieces• Identify strong fashion trends that translate to our core customer• Work closely with design and production to develop commercially viable styles• Edit the collection to focus on high-probability best sellers• Help create a cohesive assortment that works for wholesale retailers
Ideal Candidate
• 10+ years experience in women’s fashion merchandising• Strong understanding of the African American women's apparel market (40+)• Experience merchandising for wholesale fashion brands or specialty retailers• Proven ability to identify and develop best-selling styles• Deep knowledge of women’s fashion trends, fabrics, fit, and price positioning• Strong analytical and product development instincts• Ability to balance creativity with commercial success
Bonus Experience
• Experience with church fashion, occasion dressing, or statement fashion• Experience working with specialty store retailers across the U.S.• Experience building seasonal collections from concept through market launch

Our client is seeking an exceptional Multi-Store Leader to drive sales and lead operations across their retail locations. This role will actively participate in the company's growth and multi-channel operation.
Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, and indirectly to the Owner, the Multi-Store Leader will be responsible for the overall performance, culture, and strategic direction of the organization. This role requires a hands-on sales leader who can balance operational excellence with a genuine passion for creating the client experience.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee daily operations, drive sales performance, and profitability across store locations
· Lead, mentor, and develop store management teams to achieve excellence
· Drive a client-first culture rooted in hospitality principles and exceptional service
· Develop and implement strategies to meet and exceed sales goals and operational KPIs
· Ensure consistent brand standards, visual merchandising, and store presentation across locations
· Analyze business metrics and market trends to identify opportunities for growth
· Manage inventory, staffing, scheduling, and budgets for both locations
· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, creating memorable experiences
· Recruit, train, and retain top talent while fostering a positive team environment
· Collaborate with the Director of Sales on strategic initiatives and business development
Qualifications Required:
· Proven experience in retail management with multi-unit oversight preferred
· Background in a high level, (better apparel) customer service environment
· Demonstrated track record of delivering exceptional client service and driving sales results
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
· Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and analytical skills
