Systems Engineer – Software Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE) you will own the development and maintenance of all software and firmware level requirements and participate in compliance assessment and issue troubleshooting during formal qualification testing (FQT). You will contribute to specifications of major systems and subsystems in the product technical data package, coordinating with Systems, Software, and Test teams to execute program tasks. 

Update and maintain all software and firmware system and subsystem level requirements specifications.
SE technical contributor for verification and validation efforts, ensuring all requirements are being assessed during Formal Qualification Testing
Work closely with the Systems, Software, and Test teams and IPTs on a variety of program technical tasks
Participate in technical conversations with the customer
Become a knowledgeable and ‘go-to’ Systems Engineer for the program

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five (5) years of prior relevant experience
Experience with at least one of the following: systems software, systems firmware, systems hardware, systems requirements, systems integration, and/or systems test.
Experience in test planning, verification of system requirements and/or formal qualification
S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Position Responsibilities:

  • Overall subject matter expert and technical lead engineer for the Mission Computers and Stores Management hardware for requirements development, avionics subsystem and system design, integration, subsystem/system/flight test, system verification, production/fielding, and supplier oversight
  • Lead the hardware supplier design team in supporting all Tactical Fighters program needs
