Transit Management of Central Maryland (TMCM) d.b.a. the Regional Transportation Agency (RTA) of Central Maryland manages and operates public transportation in Anne Arundel County, Howard County, Northern Prince George’s County, and the City of Laurel. RTA employs 150 administrative and operational staff out of our Annapolis Junction location.


JOB DESCRIPTION


The RTA is actively seeking an experienced Diesel Bus Mechanic Shift Supervisor. This individual will manage the work of mechanics and supervise the maintenance for our fleet of 80 transit buses and service vehicles.


This position requires the level of knowledge and skills necessary to troubleshoot and repair automotive, transit, and commercial vehicles and equipment. Must have knowledge of and ability to use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, laptops, scan tools, gauges, micrometers etc. Shift Supervisors are required to create, monitor, update and close repair orders in the company’s management system and ensure that employees are using the system effectively. Knowledge and skills using Microsoft computer programs such as Word, Excel, and Power Point are necessary. This individual must have the ability to effectively lead, work and communicate with employees and customers, and ensure repairs and maintenance are performed in a timely and efficient manner. Requirements also include daily safety inspections, with minimal reworks, and maintaining production standards. Particular attention will be paid to timeliness and quality of repairs. Shift supervisors will also be responsible for managing and leading service lane employees.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Actively participate and/or administer in safety or educational training as required
  • Will be responsible for prioritizing workload and distribution of work as well as advising the proper repair procedures through clear and concise communication.

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Candidates must have a high school diploma, or equivalent.
  • A/C 609 certification required.
  • Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License Class B or higher with Passenger (P) endorsement and no Airbrakes (L) restriction.
  • Must have an appropriate mechanic’s tool set.
  • Minimum of three (3) years direct automotive, heavy equipment or transit repair experience.
  • Must have demonstrated experience monitoring and meeting PM schedules and operating automotive repair shop equipment.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, bringing demonstrated abilities of building solid relationships with superiors, peers and subordinates.

Special Requirements:



  • This position requires a minimum of three (3) ASE Heavy Duty/Transit related certifications. These certifications must be obtained within the first six (6) months of employment. 60; New Shift Supervisors are strongly encouraged to obtain their Heavy Duty/Transit ASE Master certification within their first two (2) years of employment through progressive testing.
  • Forklift certification must be achieved within one (1) year of employment.

Job Summary

The Production Supervisor II leads and directs a team of employees in an assigned area of operations such as Metal Fabrication, Assembly, and/or Test. The Production Supervisor II is accountable for maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to quality standards and is responsible for meeting customer demand schedules within established cost goals. Essential Functions
  • Identify and use lean manufacturing tools required to drive improvements and mentor teammates in the use of these tools
  • Provide inputs (resource planning, overtime projections, productivity improvements) to management to develop monthly and annual budgets
  • Assist Value Stream Managers with required monthly reporting to senior level management
  • Review and understand daily key performance indicators to evaluate the current status and gap to plan, and use this data to drive daily problem solving (8 Step, 5 Why, Cause and Effect, Fishbone) where required
  • Ensure timely identification of quality issues through the use of the non-conforming materials process to ensure scrap and rework are properly processed

THE ROLE:

[VENUE NAME] is seeking a Venue Sustainability Supervisor to elevate our sustainability program to new heights in 2025. This role is the backbone and driving force behind Live Nation's resource recovery and circularity program and is responsible for ensuring efficient waste sorting protocols, clean and organized workspaces, and thorough support of sustainability program growth. This position will partner with the Venue Sustainability Manager and be part of the venue operations team. Venue Sustainability Supervisors will be tasked with day-to-day program execution as they work to develop an efficient and comprehensive zero waste program. Venue Sustainability Supervisors will assist the Venue Sustainability Manager in making the program increasingly adaptable to be able to deliver on target diversion and budget goals. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in Venue Sustainability Supervisor on-boarding, training, and assist with Venue Sustainability Crew training and oversight.
  • Be onsite during pre-season venue set up, at the request of the Venue Sustainability Manager, to ensure zero waste operational procedures are in place.
  • Assist in the mid and post-show waste sorting process of all recycling, composting, donations, and landfill materials.
  • Be available to work show days and non-show days on both weekdays and weekends to ensure all waste is sorted and diverted.
  • Assist with overseeing the material sorting process of all recycling, composting, reuse, and donations materials to increase resource recovery and diversion from landfill.
  • Assist with Front of House and Back of House Zero Waste initiatives as outlined by the Venue Sustainability Manager.
  • Maintain a clean sorting area and support the Post-Show Pick after each event, which will occasionally result in scheduled shifts occurring on days after a show.
  • Be able to step in and oversee sustainability processes in the event the Venue Sustainability Manager cannot attend a scheduled show.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Venue Sustainability Manager on an as-need basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Show days require about 90% of the time spent walking, bending, reaching, stooping, lifting and carrying 50+ lbs. with about 75% of that time spent sorting materials.
