RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reads pick sheets and travel to proper warehouse locations using a pallet jack.
• Picks proper product type and quantity, labels products and places on a pallet and loads the pallet on trucks according to proper zone, location, and established standards.
• Handles products and build pallets according to established food safety procedures (e.g. visual inspection of the product for damages, proper placement on pallets to minimize cross-contamination and damage).
• Ensures that the warehouse is maintained cleanly and safely according to company standards; takes appropriate corrective actions when a spill or damaged case is discovered; disposes of trash and recycling in proper receptacles.
• Communicates with the management team regarding any issues (e.g. products, out of stocks, safety issues, food safety concerns).
• Operates all company warehouse equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners) safely, according to company standards.
• Reports all equipment issues to a member of the management team.
• Completes all paperwork and utilizes a wearable computer to properly track time spent on assignments for productivity reporting.
• Works assigned schedule exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as needed to meet workload demands.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

JOB SUMMARY

This is an Operations position responsible for supervising the activities associated with Delivery. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, management and direction to delivery staff, compliance with government regulations and safety and security of the delivery department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervises the daily work and safety of Delivery Associates, including adherence to standard operating procedures, adherence to planned routes, and providing safe and efficient customer service.
• Ensures Delivery Associate compliance with local, state and federal regulatory agencies (i.e. DOT, OSHA, etc.) and ensures that electronic logs are kept current and accurate.
• Manages labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.
• Prepares work schedules including extra work days and shifts as needed.
• Oversees the proper selection utilization of company assets in support of the Delivery department.
• Organizes required repairs with proper departments as necessary.
• Reviews delivery functions and productivity reporting.
• Suggests efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assists with implementation of delivery changes.
• Interprets trains and consistently enforces Company policies, protocols and procedures including but not limited to food safety, DOT, record keeping, etc.
• Communicates with Sales Management and Marketing Associates to collaboratively resolve any customer or delivery opportunities or issues.
• Visits customer locations and meets with customers to address issues and assess delivery difficulty.
• Preserves associate relations through regular department or pre-shift meetings.

JOB SUMMARY

• Assist with monitoring sanitation and facility/racking damage to ensure a safe and clean warehouse.
• Aid with the training of new associates, including cross-training of existing associates.
• Preserves associate relations through regular department or pre-shift meetings.
• Maintains on-going interaction.
• Keeps open communication channels with associates by answering questions and explaining policies and procedures.
• Monitors associate morale.
• Submit and respond to ideas to improve associate engagement and enablement.

SUMMARY

This position supervises warehouse and distribution activities to promote safe, efficient, and optimal utilization of our facilities, equipment, and personnel. Ensures work standards are met to receive, put away and ship merchandise in an effective and accurate method. Performs effective, timely communications to respective colleagues and management as necessary. Maintain and protect warehouse integrity and security. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Send/receive positive communications to responsible colleagues.
• Monitor receiving and shipping procedures to ensure that products are unloaded, received, put away, selected, and loaded in the most efficient manner for the greatest customer satisfaction.
• Communicate and reinforce policies and procedures (Coaching Maximizing Performance Program, Preferred Work Methods, and Best Business Practices) to ensure colleagues are trained in safety, job knowledge, and attainment of performance standards.
• Plan, schedule to cover vacation, holidays, workers compensation, and other shift fill-ins, and coordinate personnel needed to accomplish all warehousing activities.
• Monitor workflow, balance staff between all work areas to maintain an even flow and monitor productivity and volume using the labor management system.
• Monitor colleague’s work (labor management) and perform colleague evaluations on an on-going basis to coach them on expectations, reward above average performance, and identify and coach poor performance levels.
• Reduce overtime by utilizing the Daily Planning Tool spreadsheet.
• Work effectively with Transportation to maximize flow of receiving and shipping processes.
• Work with Inventory Control and Operations Systems to ensure that all product integrity is maintained and is properly stored and rotated.

• Complete stay interviews with direct reports and follow up on any outstanding items from colleague feedback.
• Review and approve each direct report’s time (hours worked, benefit leave time, etc.) in the timeclock, to ensure the details are accurate for payroll purposes and coded correctly to meet the biweekly payroll deadlines.
• Ensure warehouse computers and RF (radio frequency) equipment are used in a safe and professional manner.
• Understand and comply with all applicable company policies (i.e. attendance, Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Associate Handbook, etc.
• Understand and ensure compliance with all applicable State/Federal laws, regulations, and policies (i.e., OSHA, HACCP, etc.).
• Supports food safety policies, standard operating procedures, and prerequisite food safety control programs that meet legal and quality requirements and industry best practices as defined in our Food Safety Commitment documentation.
• Accept additional responsibilities or special projects as requested.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervise fifteen to twenty-five colleagues. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Sysco Redistribution Center Facilities’ policies and procedures and applicable state and federal laws. Recruit, interview, hire, and train colleagues to fulfill staffing requirements. Plan, assign and direct work, evaluate performance, reward, and coach subordinates. Must be able to effectively manage confidential information.

JOB SUMMARY

This position works closely with the Operating Company (OpCo) departments. Assist the merchandising department with transactional activities where needed. Aid in supporting OpCo sales by addressing and resolving questions and requests on time utilizing detailed knowledge of products, systems, and tools. Acts as liaison between OpCo Sales, Buyers, and Category Management as it relates to Merchandising activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Merchandising point of contact for sales, national accounts, and health care account inquiries (communication router).
• Based on information from merchandising and marketing, communicate to sales on any supplier, product or promotional urgent updates.
• Track and trace special orders, demand status late inbound trucks, and other operational requests for the sales team.
• Assist sales on basic inquiries.
• Monitor the drop ship process by confirming orders are shipped and invoiced promptly.
• Process special orders (Non-Stocks).
• Handle demand status orders and ensure timely execution of related activities (confirmations, receiving, and allocation).
• Manage the processes flow for new item stocking requests to ensure timely completion and maintain documentation.
• Create and/or maintain proprietary charting per Manager/Director/VP approval.
• Process all merchandising related scripts including price management and market costs.
• Handle overflow sales support.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience in place of a degree sufficient to successfully perform essential job functions required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience

• 1+ years' experience required.
• Experience in purchasing, merchandising, sales and/or customer service required.
• Experience working within a retail, wholesale or distribution environment preferred.
