Job Description:

The Senior Specialist, Technical Writer will be responsible for gathering, composing, and editing technical information to prepare flight manuals, maintenance manuals, and other technical documentation for our warfighters. The Technical Publications team is a group of professionals committed to providing quality and timely publication deliverables for commercial and government projects in a dynamic environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Communicate with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand technical specifications and requirements.

The TPM 4 drives project success through leadership of scope, cost, schedule, and risk, while guiding cross-functional teams through complex technical and regulatory environments.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead and manage technical project scope from initiation through turnover
  • Define and oversee project deliverables, budgets, schedules, and risk management strategies
  • Lead project teams in planning, tracking, and execution of work scope
  • Ensure alignment with Triad prime contract and NNSA requirements
  • Manage control accounts and associated work packages to meet programmatic objectives
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational management within assigned program areas

The Associate Technical Designer supports the Technical Designer in all aspects of technical design to ensure that products meet established standards for fit, quality, and consistency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Technical Designer in all areas of the technical design process
  • Organize, measure, and prepare samples for fittings
  • Review patterns and garment construction to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with approved blocks and design intent
  • Assist Technical Designer with developing technical packages and creating specs
  • Attend fittings, take detailed notes, and translate fit corrections into clear actionable fit comments
  • Attend meetings as needed, at the manager’s discretion, to support team priorities.
