About The Job
We are seeking a Proposal Lead to support and enhance our proposal efforts from our home office in Bohemia, NY. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role and serves as Citnaltaβs primary proposal resource, working closely with the Business Development and Strategy Manager and technical staff across the company.
You will work closely with procurement, estimating and marketing to develop clear, polished written content, including proofreading and copywriting, for proposals, presentations, and company-wide communications. In this role, your primary focus is to help position Citnalta as a premier general contractor and design-builder by producing compelling qualification packages, proposals, and supporting materials that reflect our expertise and commitment to quality.
Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and produce competitive proposals, statements of qualifications (SOQ), and pre-qualification submissions in alignment with the pursuit plan and in full compliance with best practices.
- Review RFQ/RFP documents and translate requirements into practical tools such as outlines, compliance checklists, and responsibility trackers to guide contributors and keep all elements organized.
- Plan and monitor the day-to-day schedule for reach assigned pursuit, tracking progress against internal deadlines and escalating timing or information issues to the Business Development & Strategy Manager as needed.
- Draft and refine non-technical proposal content and shape technical input from project managers, estimators, and other technical staff into clear, well-structured narratives.
- Ensure that all proposal components (narrative text, forms, attachments, resumes, project histories, and certifications) are complete, accurate, and formatted according to client instructions and Citnaltaβs standards.
- Maintain and regularly update proposal content libraries, including outlines, cover letters, executive summaries, project sheets, personnel resumes, and supporting narratives.
- Draft and proofread presentations, award submissions and other collateral company materials as needed.
- Prepare and assemble standard proposal forms and qualification documents, including government and agency specific forms, in coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with designers, subconsultants, and subcontractors to collect information and forms for qualifications and proposal submissions.
- Work closely with internal project managers, technical staff, and marketing staff across the firm to gather content for proposals.
- Keep basic pursuit and outcome records (e.g., proposal log, shortlists, wins/losses) and share relevant information with the Business Development & Strategy Manager to support reporting and decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to standardize and improve proposal templates, tools, and processes, and help implement best practices.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of proposal development experience with an architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) firm
- Bachelorβs degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English or related field; relevant communications and proposal experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated ownership of proposal pursuits and comfort leading cross-functional teams through deadlines.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with a strong attention to detail and consistency.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple proposal pursuits simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Microsoft Teams and SharePoint

The Jr. Estimator supports the Estimating team in preparing accurate and timely proposals for commercial and industrial fence installation projects. The role focuses on quantity takeoffs, vendor/subcontractor quote solicitation, assembling bid packages, and maintaining bid records. The incumbent will learn the complete estimating process and progress by owning smaller quotations and assisting with larger, complex bids under supervision.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review plans, specifications and addenda to understand scope, site conditions and bid requirements under supervision.
- Perform quantity takeoffs for chain-link, ornamental steel/aluminum, security fencing, wood/composite, gates/operators and related items; prepare material and labor extensions.
- Solicit, receive and compare vendor and subcontractor quotations; maintain a quote log and ensure pricing is current prior to bid.
- Prepare basic quotations and scope letters for small projects and service work; assemble clarifications, alternates and exclusions as directed.
- Maintain the bid calendar and bid list daily; track plan revisions and distribute updates to the team to ensure current documents are used.
- Draft and route pre-bid RFIs; attend pre-bid meetings and site visits with a Senior Estimator when requested.
- Enter opportunities and customer information into company systems (CRM/ERP); organize electronic plan files and bid folders.

Position Specifications:

What Youβll Do
Under the direction of the Senior Construction Manager / Superintendent, you will:
- Assist with day to day field operations on ground up and conversion self storage projects
- Help coordinate subcontractors, trades, deliveries, and inspections

Role Overview
The Project Manager, Store Planning leads the end-to-end execution of retail experience programs. This role partners cross-functionally to deliver immersive, on-brand retail spacesβensuring projects are aligned with operational requirements, timeline, and budget from concept through store opening.
This position sits at the intersection of real estate, architecture, construction, and operationsβowning coordination, driving accountability, and protecting brand standards across all phases of development.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Program Delivery
- Lead the full lifecycle of retail experience initiatives from real estate selection through construction and store opening.
- Translate direction into clear project scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical documentation.
- Develop and manage detailed project timelines, ensuring milestones and phase gates are met.
Consultant & Partner Management
- Manage external architects, engineers, and other consultants.
- Establish clear design objectives, deliverables, and approval checkpoints across:
- Schematic Design
- Design Development
- Construction Documentation
- Review and approve drawings, specifications, and build packages to ensure readiness for construction.
Execution & Site Oversight
- Serve as the central point of contact throughout project execution.
- Review weekly site progress updates and track critical path milestones.
- Resolve design and construction conflicts quickly and proactively.
- Conduct site visits to assess quality, mitigate risks, and prevent schedule or budget impacts.
- Protect creative intent through final installation and store opening.
Stakeholder Communication & Alignment
- Present design intent packages and final design packages to senior stakeholders.
- Align priorities, sequencing, and resource planning across teams.
- Communicate risks, trade-offs, and mitigation strategies clearly and effectively.
Qualifications
- 5β8+ years of experience in retail design, store planning, architecture, or construction project management.
- Proven experience delivering retail environments from concept through build.
- Strong understanding of architectural drawing sets and construction documentation.
- Experience managing external architects, consultants, and contractors.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (required).
- Ability to read and redline drawings with precision.
- Strong organizational and schedule management skills.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and presentation skills.

OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION
Maxwell Brooks is working with a sophisticated Construction Law group of a Manhattan law firm that is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team.
This role will provide immediate hands-on experience with complex construction law disputes in state and federal courts with exposure to construction transactions. QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have 2 to 8 years of commercial construction litigation (not NY Labor Law) experience handling matters such as mechanic's liens, delay and breach of contract claims, among others. Experience with construction agreements is a plus. Strong research and writing skills are highly preferred. Must be admitted to practice in New York.

The Role
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) owns and facilitates tasks as outlined by the Project Manager or Project Executive, within the projects assigned.
Assistant Project Managers provide support and communication for successful project completion. APMβs provide a focus on the day-to-day details of these projects, including relaying correspondence between field and office (both internally and externally), ordering equipment, and managing project documentation. These duties help the Project Manager/Project Executive ensure that the schedule and project goals for the job are met. It is critical that they perform this work within the policies, ethical standards and objectives of Hermanson Company.
The Assistant Project Managerβs duties and responsibilities may be specialized toward HVAC and Plumbing Plan Spec type projects, Design/Build type projects or a combination of both depending on the experience and qualifications of the individual.
- Work with the department leader on business/personal development plan
- Develop submittal packages and check for accuracy compared to drawings and building standards.
- Draft equipment POs and check for accuracy compared to drawings, submittals, quotes, and building standards.
- Update equipment procurement logs.
- Track delivery of equipment orders.
- Understand construction schedules and how they were developed.
- Assess drawing updates and determine if there are scope impacts.
- Coordinate with the field, client, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Understand the basics of estimating.
- Quantity/Material takeoffs of engineered drawings.
- Conceptual estimating from architectural drawings or no drawings at all.
- Calculates and draft change orders as required within
- Understand and execute all Hermansonβs processes and procedures.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Account Executives.
- Understand how to complete and present monthly financial reports (Stats).
- Meet and develop relationships with clients and coworkers (field and office).
- Maintain and develop a working knowledge of the local construction marketplace.
- Maintain and develop technical knowledge of mechanical system operations.
- Update project budgets and change order logs.
- Establish and assures that a document control system is in place and updated on a regular basis throughout all projects.
- Assist the Project Manager and Account Executive in keeping all projects billed and assist in the collection of your invoices before they become 60 days past due.
The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $110,000. (The compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience).

Education
Has earned a bachelorβs degree in Construction Management or Engineering capacity (we will consider a combination of direct Trade experience and education that would indicate proficiency in performing Assistant Project Manager duties)

The Estimator is responsible for preparing proposals for commercial and industrial fence installation projects. Send out quotations for work and following bid projects for information about low bid contractors. communicating with customers leads to secure work.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Review plans, specifications and related bid documents to determine and understand the scope of work and requirements of projects
* Develop detailed material and labor estimates for various commercial and industrial fencing projects.
* Prepare project quotations and submit to potential customers.
* Updates bid list with pertinent and accurate information daily.
* Secures and receives purchase orders from customers and creates sales contracts.
* Prepares start up sheets for order entry, ensuring accuracy.
* Assist other members of the team, as needed, with a general knowledge of the bidding and quoting process.
* Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or project managers to discuss and formulate estimates.
* Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
* Encourage and support marketing strategies, to support and encourage new business.
* Identify and report improvement opportunities in every aspect of the division.
* Maintain constant communication with leadership to monitor sales progress.
* Other responsibilities as directed or assigned.
Position Specifications:
* Minimum Education - bachelor's degree or related experience.
* Minimum Experience - 5 - 10 years' industry experience years preferred.
* Computer Knowledge - Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word preferred. Bluebeam experience is a plus.
