About the Clinician's Workday

The anesthesiologist will provide comprehensive anesthesia services during day shifts from Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Clinical responsibilities encompass managing diverse cardiac procedures including general cardiac cases, transplants, catheterization laboratory procedures, interventional cases, bypass surgeries, and perfusion procedures. The position requires board certification and prescriptive authority, with call coverage being negotiable. The clinician will work collaboratively within a cardiac team structure consisting of 2 MDs and 9 CRNAs, providing supervision to certified registered nurse anesthetists with 50% hands-on involvement.

Qualifications & Requirements

A degree from a four-year college or university is a minimum educational requirement to become a Commissioned Officer. Part-Time Opportunities

There are part-time opportunities available as an Information Professional Officer.

Serving part-time as a Navy Reserve Sailor, your duties will be carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods. During monthly drilling, Information Professional Officers in the Navy Reserve typically work at a location close to their homes.

For annual training, Information Professional Officers may serve anywhere in the world, whether on a ship at sea or at bases and installations on shore.
