The Systems Engineering, Integrated Systems Department is seeking a Systems Engineering Technical Lead for the NASAMS product line. This role requires strong technical expertise and engineering leadership skills to drive the design and development of world-class air and missile defense systems.
The Integrated Systems Department supports Raytheon by providing world-class weapon systems engineering. Domain expertise includes radar systems, effector systems, battle management, command and control, network design, battlespace integration, and interoperability for both domestic and international customers.
You will work alongside motivated engineers who are responsible for conducting systems engineering studies and trades; supporting system requirements definition and analysis; and contributing to algorithm development, integration, test, and evaluation.
What You Will Do
- Provide technical oversight and management for a variety of Systems Engineering efforts
- Concept and requirements development (including decomposition and flowdown) within a mature product-line
- Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development and design
- Algorithm optimization and development
- Multi-disciplinary development efforts across the kill-chain for an Air and Missile Defense System
- Collaboration with customer to bring new capabilities to the warfighter
- Functional analysis of real world and test data; trade studies to bring advanced features to fielded system
- Support and lead Internal and External Program and Design Reviews
- Collaborate with other IPT/CPT leads from the various functions and products
- Support and lead Internal Research and Development for future capability upgrades
- System integration and test support, including live fire test events
- Periods of travel up to 25% of time both domestically and internationally
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience with Air Defense Systems in systems engineering roles supporting development or production
- Experience with managing budget, scope and/or earned value

ABOUT THE JOB!
The Manufacturing Engineer supports the development, improvement, and documentation of manufacturing processes within the Situational and Awareness Value Stream. This role applies technical skills to optimize and develop production processes, while also providing hands-on technical support and troubleshooting to manufacturing operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Troubleshoot and root-cause analysis of production electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
• Participate in documenting and refining manufacturing processes to support production efficiency and quality standards.
• Propose and provide input on new equipment design, development and procurement.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of work instructions, routers, and process documentation.
• Support continuous improvement efforts using Lean principles with appropriate guidance.
• Develop and enhance production tooling and equipment. Both custom-built and off-the-shelf solutions.
• Collaborate with the production, engineering, and quality teams to troubleshoot basic problems in manufacturing operations and implement solutions.
• Stay current with industry best practices, technology, and actively pursue opportunities for technical and professional growth.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Understanding of basic electro-mechanical systems; experience with projects in automation, electrical, or computer engineering disciplines is preferred.
• Ability to apply data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab) to drive and verify process improvements.
• Proficiency in engineering software tools such as MATLAB, LTspice, and Studio 5000/Connected Components Workbench (CCW) is a plus.
• Skilled in the use of common hand tools, soldering irons, multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other basic electronic test equipment; experienced with light fabrication tools for modifying or assembling fixtures and enclosures.
• Exposure to parametric CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
• Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Familiarity with basic quality standards, manufacturing documentation, and quality assurance protocols, including IQ, OQ, and PQ.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to perform well in a team-oriented environment.

Engineering Services Staff Technician.
This role will be on-site and located in Portsmouth, RI.
What You Will Do
Work under moderate supervision with acoustic engineers to perform in-water acoustic sensor testing at our acoustic test facility
Work with engineers to rig and fixture acoustic sensors and configure test equipment in support of in-water test events.
Perform crane operations to rig and position engineering test articles and hydrophones/projectors within the test facility.
Build and provide in-process test of acoustic sensors, including fine-pitch soldering, working with adhesives and chemicals, manufacturing tooling, curing cycles, fiber optics and general mechanical work.
Work with facilities personnel to ensure day-to-day operation of test tank equipment, such as water filtration, overhead cranes and plumbing systems.
Ensure engineering work in the test facility is conducted in accordance with lab operating procedures and company policy.
Work with limited supervision and meet commitments for identified schedule, financial, and technical goals.
Assimilate data packages for devices tested and make them available for cognizant engineering personnel.
Provide written communications of work accomplished and any pertinent issues encountered to designated managerial and subject matter experts
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
Experience with performing technician work in an engineering and/or production test environment.
Experience with the use of typical benchtop electronic test equipment inclusive of oscilloscopes, voltmeters, impedance analyzers and amplifiers.
Experience with the following processes or similar; adhesive bonding, chemical mixing, encapsulation, paint application, chromate touch up, vapor degreasing, die grinding, sanding, mechanical press, oven curing, vacuum bagging, vacuum chambers, micro/grit-blast, fiber optic splicing.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
