Job Overview:

As a DPA Environmental Driller/Geologist/Scientist, you will be able to develop your knowledge of environmental drilling with a variety of drilling techniques, locations, and equipment. You will be trained by our DPA Team of managers and drillers with Geology and Environmental Science degrees and over 50 years of combined drilling experience.


License/Certification:

· Valid Driver’s License (Required)

· Class A CDL (Preferred but Flexible)

· 40 Hour OSHA Hazwoper / 8 Hour Hazwoper Refresher (Preferred but Flexible)


Job Responsibilities:

· Perform drilling operations, sampling, well installation and abandonment tasks while adhering to all Direct Push Analytical Corp. safety plan, policies, and standards and the safety requirements set by our clients or location owners where we operate.

· Maintains record log of drilling activities.

· Works with onsite consultants for job prep, onsite partnership, post job completion as needed.

· Trains and directs Driller Helpers.

· Use required Personal Protective Equipment in accordance with DPA Safety policies.

· Assist loading and unloading tools and equipment from support vehicles.

· Mechanically inclined or ability/ familiarity with automotive tools such as sockets, end wrenches, voltmeter, etc.

· Maintains, cleans, and repair drill rig or equipment to ensure the highest operating condition.

· Perform surveying, site reconnaissance, and utility clearance tasks.

· Perform onsite Geological and/or Environmental technician tasks.

· Maintain certifications, if required.

· Proficiently operate all vehicles and equipment in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.

· Problem-solving

· Complete all other tasks as instructed.


Minimum Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or STEM.

• 2 years’ experience with drilling experience.

• Must be able to meet the physical labor demands of the job - including, but not limited to, carry 50-75 lbs. repeatedly without assistance, standing for long periods of time, kneeling, balance, and use hands to handle tools and controls.

• Willing to work outside in all weather conditions.

• Positive attitude and strong communication skills.

• Regional travel and the ability to stay out of town frequently.

• Must be able to work occasional weekends (Less than 10%)

• Must have or obtain 40-hour Hazmat training and maintain Hazwoper updates.

• Pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and DOT physical.

• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card within first 30 days of employment.

• Valid driver’s license with willing and able to acquire Class A CDL.

Experience: 2+ years’ experience automotive manufacturing

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong Detail / Accuracy in technical details and business writing / communication
  • Analytical thinking and working knowledge of problem-solving techniques (i.e. paretos,
  • cause and effect, fish bone diagrams, and 5Why analysis).
  • Technical thinking and core tool knowledge as well as knowledge of plating, plastic
  • molding, metal stamping and/or welding is a plus.
  • Written and verbal communication with customers (internal & external)
  • Quality engineering / Manufacturing engineering experience in automated high volume
  • production environment within automotive industry.
  • Able to implement / use of various charts, corrective action programs, simple DOE and other SPC Tools.
  • Limited knowledge of soldering, electronic components and PCB assembly is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 / IATF 16949, VDA Standards, and IPC-A-610D
  • Strong skills/expertise with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access and Minitab.
  • Experience with European Automotive OEMs (BMW, VW, Audit, Mercedes, etc.) is a plus.

Role Description

The R&D Testing Technician will execute daily engineering test assigned by Engineering Manager. The candidate will perform various acoustical, mechanical, and electrical tests. The candidate will support the engineers in their ongoing R&D testing to achieve their task on time. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform engineering tests including and not limited to: Acoustical testing, mechanical testing and electrical testing
  • Documenting and archiving test results and test procedures
  • Work with various mechanical tools and fixtures to conduct tests
  • Work with electronic test equipment
  • Manage the engineering lab, make sure tools and equipment are arranged in the right spot and perform 5S to the labs
  • Manage engineering samples with proper labels and arrange them in cabinet
  • Support engineers in new developed test procedures by documenting the test procedures
  • Support engineers in shipping samples out to customers, purchase experimental parts from website
