Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations within our superalloy manufacturing business. This role supports the production of high- performance nickel- and cobalt-based alloys used in demanding industrial applications. The position is responsible for production planning, supplier management, inventory optimization, subcontractor coordination, and on-time customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Supply Chain Leadership
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives and customer commitments
- Lead integrated Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes
- Align supply chain activities with customer forecasts and production capacity
- Identify and mitigate risks related to capacity constraints, long lead times, and single-source suppliers
Supplier & Subcontractor Management
- Lead supplier performance management (quality, delivery, cost, compliance)
- Develop dual-source and risk mitigation strategies for key suppliers
- Partner with Quality to support supplier audits and maintain approved vendor lists
- Ensure proper flow-down of technical and contractual requirements
Production Planning & Inventory Control
- Oversee demand forecasting, master production scheduling, and capacity planning

- Improve inventory turns while maintaining service levels
- Ensure full material traceability by heat lot and production batch
Logistics & Program Execution
- Manage domestic and international logistics in compliance with applicable export and trade regulations

- Provide supply chain reporting and performance updates to leadership
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure supply chain compliance with applicable quality management systems
- Maintain traceability documentation and certification packages

Continuous Improvement
- Lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives across planning and supplier processes
- Implement and enhance ERP/MRP systems to improve visibility and planning accuracy

Required Qualifications

The Quality Control Inspector 1 is responsible for following the M.C. Dean Quality Control (QC) Program to achieve and verify quality expectations for a durable and reliable installation. The Quality Control Officer is responsible for performing field inspections to ensure work is in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

- Perform Receiving (REC), First Article (FAI), In-Process (IP) and Final Inspections (FI) on electrical and mechanical assemblies visually and/or with inspection equipment.
- Immediately notify operators, or supervision of any non-conformances in products
- Perform all quality reporting requirements outlined in the MCD Quality Management System (including the inspection checklists, Data Collection Reports (PDCR), hold logs, discrepancy notices, waiver logs etc.) Identify for segregation nonconforming units following the MCD Nonconformance procedure for prefabricated and purchased products.
- Assist in the training of operators and provide guidance.
- Assist in the problem-solving process.
- Participate in the Daily ORM work briefings to represent the Quality Portion.
- Assist in root cause, corrective and preventive action development for systemic issues.
- Advise appropriate party of any corrective action to be taken.
- Coordinate with supervisor to ensure all shifts are covered appropriately in case of absence of an inspector.
Qualifications
Experience / Education Required:
- Associates Degree in Technical Discipline (may be substituted for quality related experience)
- At least 4 years hands-on experience in the electrical industry.
- To possess or have the ability to obtain a state issued Journeyman License within 6 months of hire
- Experience with reading and interpreting contractual requirements, drawings, BIM models, specifications, current NEC codes, NETA and other applicable standards
- Experience with receiving, production, shipping and quality processes
- Excellent communication skills (written, and verbal)
- Strong attention to details, highly organized and computer literate
