What will you do?

• Check in with management upon arrival for daily duties and station assignments. 

• Attend pre-shift briefing, taking note of relevant information including service, food and beverage, and guest notes. 

• May assist with running food/beverages to tables. 

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining room including all equipment, utensils, tables, chairs, service stations, floors, and windows. 

• Remove dirty dishes, silverware, and empty glasses from guest tables after guests depart. Return dirty dishes, silverware, glassware and linen to dish washing area, sorting appropriately and placing them in the assigned area for proper disposition. 

• Reset tables once guests leave according to floor plan or instructions from management. 

• Remove and empty trash as needed. 

• Seasonal game day position. 

• Assist bartenders with bar set up, maintenance & service. 

• Assist servers with dining room set up, maintenance & service.  

More about you

• Experience or training as a Runner, Bar Back or Busser with a similar style of dining, capacity, and volume is preferred. 

• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to normal business hours, as needed. 

• Excellent communication skills. 

• Must be at least 18 years old. 

Physical requirements

• Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.  

• Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners.

• Oversees the pre-employment verification process for applicants, coordinating background and employment history checks to ensure all requirements are satisfied prior to onboarding.

Qualifications

The licensed practical nurse (LPN) provides nursing care to assigned patients under the direct supervision of the registered nurse (RN) or other assigned supervisor and accepts delegation from the RN/assigned supervisor in meeting the needs of the patient/family. The LPN collects data through observation and communicates information to assist the RN and/or provider in patient assessment and care planning. The LPN participates as a member of the health care team and accepts delegation from the RN/assigned supervisor and provider in meeting needs of the patient/family. The LPN delivers care in accordance with the patient care plan, policies and procedures of the organization and principles of relationship-based care. The LPN possesses excellent communication skills; is skillful in mentoring and instructing; and may participate on committees or projects, including quality improvement projects.

What You'll Do:

• Partner with providers, RNs, and allied health staff to deliver patient-centered care
• Provide age-specific services, from newborn and pediatric rooming to adult and geriatric aftercare
• Administer vaccines, medications, and treatments (injections, ear lavages, nebulizers, wound care, catheter care, suture/staple removal, vision/hearing screenings, fluoride varnish, etc.)
• Manage patient communications via phone, online messages, and telehealth
• Support preventative care and chronic condition management, reinforcing patient education
• Independently manage nurse calendars, ensuring timely, accurate patient care
• Contribute to quality initiatives by closing care gaps and improving outcomes

Primary Care patient services include health care for existing medical needs, preventative care, acute care, and management of chronic health conditions. Care is provided through in-person visits, phone, video and web-based care. LPNs in all primary care practices are valued members of the interprofessional care team, collaborating with physicians, advanced practitioners, non-licensed allied health professionals, registered nurses, and student learners. Primary Care locations offer a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that allows LPNs to work closely with an interdisciplinary team while building meaningful, long-term relationships with patients.

Family Medicine (2nd Floor of the Baldwin Building)

Patients of all ages — newborns through seniors. Care includes obstetrics, pediatrics, adult, and geriatric health. The Family Medicine practice offers LPNs the opportunity to work with patients across the lifespan. Family Medicine provides family-oriented comprehensive care, including obstetrical care and well-woman care, newborn and well-child care, pediatrics and adult and geriatric care. LPNs play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care such as immunizations, ear washes, reinforcing patient education, and chronic disease management. The role also involves supporting in-clinic procedures and balancing timely responses to patient requests via online messaging.

Graduate of a school of practical nursing or passed LPN Boards after a defined period in a professional nursing program (e.g., some states allow RN students to take the LPN board exam after completing one to two years in the RN program). If graduation did not occur within the last two years, one year of LPN experience working in an applicable setting is required.
One year LPN experience within the last five years preferred. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

Under clinical supervision, assists in the delivery of patient care and treatment according to policies and procedures and Logan Health MAU/UAP scope of practice. Provides administrative support and works collaboratively with Physicians, Advanced Practice Clinicians, RNs, LPNs and other department staff to meet the physical, psychosocial, education and spiritual needs of the patient and family.

Qualifications:

• Registered Medical Assistant credential required.
• Completion of Assessment Based Recognition in Order Entry Qualifying Courses (ABR-OE) required.
• Minimum of one (1) of the below required within eighteen (18) months of hire:
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited medical assisting program.
  • Completion of a medical assistant program offered by a school accredited by a regional or national accrediting organization recognized by the US Department of Education, which includes a minimum of 720 clock hours of training in medical assisting skills, including an externship of no less than 160 hours.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in a practice setting preferred.
• Current Health Care Provider CPR preferred or must successfully complete prior to completion of orientation.
• Medical office experience and medical terminology training preferred. Possess working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, basic laboratory values, and pharmacology preferred.
• Knowledge and familiarity with medical equipment and instruments, common safety hazards and precautions, patient rights, regulatory standards and aseptic technique and infection control preferred. Knowledge of Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and confidentiality requirements preferred.
• Must employ critical thinking skills, respond to a changing workload in a positive and professional manner, and prioritize and seek assistance as appropriate. Possess interpersonal skills and communication necessary to interact with patients, families and physicians effectively.
• Must successfully complete all onboarding education and competencies prior to performing the competency specific tasks.

Job Specific Duties:

• Receives and prepares patient for examination and treatment per practice procedure and protocol. Obtains and records history and vital signs. Charts and documents in medical record and collects laboratory specimens as needed.
• Prepares room, equipment and supplies as indicated by particular examination or patient's needs.
• Assists Physician and/or Advanced Practice Clinician in preparing for minor procedures and physical examinations.
• Performs minor procedures to include, but may not be limited to; suture and staple removal, application of dressings, splints, casts, etc.
• Cleans and disinfects equipment per assigned area(s) policies and procedures.
• Assists with appointments, diagnostic tests, treatments, procedures and surgery. May assist with patient registration, collection of co-payments and prior authorizations.
• Collects patient information from incoming calls and/or patient portal messages for appropriate referrals to nurse, physician and/or advanced practice provider.
• Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
• Under supervision of department leadership, participates in process improvement and/or risk related departmental activities.

With approved scribe training and competencies (as applicable)

• May perform as a scribe and accurately transcribe medical reports. Proofreads all work transcribed to ensure proper patient and physician names, spelling, and punctuation. Applies expert knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, English rules of transcription and proofreading of all medical dictation.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of elements of a medical note, new techniques, new medications and new terminology in order to produce quality reports. Researches and follows up on incomplete dictation. Works with providers to assure that all documentation is entered into patient records appropriately

Schedule: Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
