Environment, Health and Safety Manager

As our EHS Specialist, you will be a vital part of our operations, ensuring that our manufacturing plant is a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace. You will be the go-to expert for all things safety, from policy development to on-the-ground training and incident response. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop, implement, and oversee EHS programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses to identify and mitigate potential workplace hazards.
- Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate and conduct safety training for employees, from new hire orientation to specialized training (e.g., lockout/tagout, chemical safety, emergency response).
- Manage and maintain all required EHS documentation, permits, and records.
- Lead and document emergency drills (e.g., fire, spill, evacuation).
- Promote a culture of safety by engaging with team members, conducting safety meetings, and recognizing safe work practices.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of EHS experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Professional certification (e.g., ASP, CSP, or OHST) is a plus.
- Experience with EHS management software.
